PURCHASED A HORSE TRAILER, BRAND NEW, EARLY 2010. CAME EQUIPPED WITH 5 CARLISLE RADIAL TRAILER TIRES (1 SPARE). TWO OF THE TIRES HAVE BEEN LOST TO PLY SEPARATION. A THIRD SHREDDED ON THE ROAD, SO I CANNOT SAY WITH CERTAINTY THAT IT SEPARATED ALSO, BUT WOULD BET THAT WAS THE CASE. CARLISLE DID REPLACE ONE OF THE TIRES FOR ME UNDER WARRANTY IN JUNE 2012, ALTHOUGH THE WARRANTY WAS OUT BY A FEW MONTHS. ON JULY 22, 2102, THE THIRD TIRE WENT BAD. TIRES WERE ALL PROPERLY INFLATED AND MY TRAILER WAS NOT OVERLOADED. I STILL HAVE ONE OF THE ORIGIN…

IN 2004 I BOUGHT A NEWFLAT BED TRAILER WHICH HAS FOUR TIRES. I HAD A TIRE FAILURE WITH LESS THAN 2000 MILES. THE TRAILER HAD COMPASS TIRES,MADE BY HANGZHOU ZHONGEE RUBBER CO., WHICH I DISCOVERED HAS A RECALL. I CONTACTED THE FIRM REPRESENTING THE FACTORY . AFTER FILLING OUT THE REQUIRED FORMS , INFORMATION , PICTURES, AND DOT CODES THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. I ASKED FOR A VOUCHER TO REPLACE THE TIRES AT THERE DEALER. I HAVE SENCE RECEIVED A CHECK FOR $218.40. THAT AMOUNT WILL ONLY REPLACE ONE TIRE. THE QUESTION IS, DO I HAVE ANY REC…

The contact owns a 2006 Featherlite Trailer equipped with a propane tank holder. The contact stated while driving approximately 40-45 MPH, she heard abnormal loud sounds coming from the rear of the trailer. The contact veered to the side of the road. Upon inspecting the cause of the failure, the contact noticed that the propane tank had separated from the propane tank holder and the propane tank holder was fractured. The contact stated that the propane tank had fallen onto the ground underneath the trailer but did not cause the trailer to explo…

I HAVE HAD SIX BLOW OUTS OR TIRE FAILURES ON GOODYEAR "MARATHON" TRAILER TIRES IN 15,000 MILES!!! THE TIRES WERE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON A 2002 22' HAULMARK ENCLOSED AEROSTAR TRAILER. THE TIRE SIZE IS: ST 225/ 75 R- 15. THE CATASTROPHIC FAILURES HAVE BEEN MOSTLY WITH THE SIDE WALLS BLOWING OUT AND ONE WITH THE TREAD BELT COMING OFF. I AM METICULOUS WITH KEEPING THE PROPER INFLATION AND HAVE VARIED IT BETWEEN 65-55 LBS. THE TRAILER IS NOT OVERLOADED (3,500 LBS.) WITH TANDEM HEAVY-DUTY AXLES. THE FAILURES HAVE BEEN ON ALL FOUR TIRE POSITIONS, THERE…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
