Reported: 2008-07-01 (July 1, 2008)
FLEETWOOD IS RECALLING 226 MY 2008-2009 AMERICAN ALLEGIANCE, AMERICAN EAGLE, AMERICAN HERITAGE, AMERICAN TRADITION, BOUNDER, BOUNDER DIESEL, DISCOVERY, EXCURSION, EXPEDITION, FIESTA LX, PACE ARROW, PROVIDENCE, REVOLUTION LE, SOUTHWIND, CLASS A MOTOR HOMES, AND ICON, JAMBOREE, JAMBOREE GT, JAMBOREE SPORT, PULSE, TIOGA, AND TIOGA RANGER CLASS C MOTOR HOMES. Remedy: FLEETWOOD WILL MAIL A CORRECTED FEDERAL CERTIFICATION LABEL ALONG WITH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS TO THE AFFECTED MOTOR HOME OWNERS. OWNERS WHO DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE INSTALLING THIS LABEL CAN TAKE THEIR MOTOR HOME TO ANY FLEETWOOD DEALER AND THE DEALER WILL INSTALL THE LABEL FOR THEM. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 28, 2008. FLEETWOOD IS RECALLING 1,583 MY 2008-2009 JAMBOREE, JAMBOREE SPORT, JAMBOREE GT, AND TIOGA, TIOGA RANGER, AND TIOGA SL CLASS C MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON A FORD E450 CHASSIS. A SECTION OF HARD PLASTIC EVAPORATIVE EMISSION LINE NEAR THE EVAP SYSTEM CANISTER MAY BE KINKED AND COMPLETELY RESTRICTED. THIS MAY AFFECT A PRESSURE INCREASE IN THE EVAP LINES AND FUEL TANK IN HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURES, CAUSING A RELEASE OF EXCESS VAPORS WHEN THE GAS CAP IS REMOVED.
Consequence: UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, EXCESS VAPORS AND FUEL MAY BE SPRAYED FROM THE FUEL CAP POSSIBLY RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJURY.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE KINKED EVAPORATIVE LINE. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING FEBRUARY 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FLEETWOOD AT 1-800-509-3418.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2008: 0 complaints · 2009: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |

| 2008 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2009 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2008 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2009 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
