THIS TIRE WAS INSTALLED ON A BOAT TRAILER IN 1990, WHEN DRIVING TO THE COAST ON 7/25/2000, GOING 55 MILES PER HOUR, WE NOTICED A SUDDEN IRREGULAR FEELING TO THE TRAILER. THIS WAS A SINGLE AXLE BOAT TRAILER, HAULING A 16 FOOT DORY BOAT. WHEN CHECKING THE BEARINGS BEFORE LAUNCIHNG THE BOAT INTO THE WATER, (@ 30 MINUTES AFTER FEELING THE IRREGULARITY) THE TIRE WAS DISCOVERED TO BE MISSING ALMOST ITS ENTIRE TOP LAYER. IT WAS STILL HOLDING AIR PRESSURE. AT THE TIME WE THOUGHT THAT WE HAD RUN OVER SOMETHING THAT HAD CUT EVENLY INTO THE TIRE, ON …
