THE DEALER , WHO HAD REPAIRED THE VEHICLE JUST 45 DAYS EARLIER, STATED THAT THIS FIRE WAS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECALL. THE DEALER STATED THAT THIS WAS A DIFFERENT TYPE OF WIRING FIRE. The L shaped bracket that supports the RV hydraulic/motor assembly for the auto leveling system has failed. The weld between two pieces of steel that makes up the bracket has failed. When the bracket fails the assembly is supported temporarily by electrical wires and hydraulic hoses. If it fails further and drags the road or separates completely, there is a possibility of fire under the vehicle and/or death or injury to other drivers on the road. There other safety recalls for this exact failure but my unit was not listed.

The Service Advance Trac light comes on sporadically. This also triggers the Cruise Control and Hill Start Assist to turn off. Any of these malfunctions could prove to be a safety issue particularly with regard to stability and control of the vehicle. The vehicle has not yet been to a dealer for these issues as we are traveling. The malfunction has occurred about 5-6 times while driving, without any particular triggers. There were no early warnings and the first time the service light came on was June 18th and we were on a two lane flat road doi…

The tire pressure monitoring system fails frequently while being driven. The first few times I pulled off the road and checked the pressures, and they were normal. I had the system checked at a Ford dealership and they couldn't find any problem. It failed again. I returned to the dealership and they said they couldn't find a problem and there is nothing they could do for me. So I drive away from the dealership and the same thing happens. Believing that they can't do anything I keep driving and manually checking pressures. Problem returns.…

Parking Brake The Sticker on this U-Haul 15 foot Truck says, "Engage the Parking Brake before turning off the Engine, otherwise UNCONTROLLED OPERATION OF VEHICLE may occur.". I pulled on the Parking Brake as the Sticker warned. With my foot off the Gas Pedal, at about 25 - 30 MPH the U-Haul Steered way to the right by itself, and drove onto the Right Curb. This was quite Frightening and Unexpected. Then it happened again later that day at just about 30 MPH, again with my foot off the Gas Pedal and Kind of Coasting into a small Town. Lat…

The component that failed was the driveline on our RV. Specifically, the driveline was installed at an incorrect angle, which caused excessive vibrations and loud noises while driving at highway speeds. The improper driveline angle posed a serious safety risk to my family and others on the road. The vibrations were severe enough to affect vehicle handling and stability, especially at higher speeds. There was also concern that the continued stress could lead to mechanical failure or component separation, which could result in loss of control o…

IN EARLY JULY MY VEHICLE SUFFERED AN ELECTRICAL FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THIS IS A VEHICLE COVERED UNDER THE EXISTING FORD RECALL FOR THE SPEED CONTROL WIRING. THE DEALER , WHO HAD REPAIRED THE VEHICLE JUST 45 DAYS EARLIER, STATED THAT THIS FIRE WAS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECALL. THE DEALER STATED THAT THIS WAS A DIFFERENT TYPE OF WIRING FIRE. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE RECALL IN PLACE MAY NOT FULLY ADDRESS THE RISK OF FIRE, AND THAT THERE MAY BE MORE OF A SAFETY ISSUE REGARDING THE WIRING HARNESS THAN HAS BEEN DISCLOSED. *TR

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
