Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

16V851000 · Equipment:Electrical:Radio/Tape Deck/Cd Etc.

Reported: 2016-11-25 (November 25, 2016)

Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. (Gulf Stream) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Conquest and B Touring Cruiser Class C motorhomes manufactured September 24, 2015 through October 24, 2016. In the affected vehicles, the in-dash radio unit assembly was improperly wired allowing the DVD to operate while the vehicle is in motion.

Consequence: If the DVD monitor is operating and viewable while the vehicle is in motion, it may be a distraction to the driver, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Gulf Stream will notify owners, and dealers will disable the viewing of the DVD monitor while the vehicle is being driven, free of charge. The recall began on December 16, 2016. Owners may contact the Gulf Stream customer service at 1-800-289-8787. Gulf Stream's number for this recall is GM112316.

Reported: 2018-04-17 (April 17, 2018)

Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. (Gulf Stream) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Gulf Stream Conquest and B Touring Cruiser motorhomes, models 6314, 6316, 6317, 6320, 63111, 5291 and 5316. These vehicles do not have intermediate side marker lights and have front and rear side marker lights that are spaced more than thirty feet apart. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: Without intermediate side marker lights, the motorhome would have decreased visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Gulf Stream will notify owners, and dealers will install intermediate side marker lights, free of charge. The recall began on May 18, 2018. Owners may contact Gulf Stream customer service at 1-800-289-8787. Gulf Stream's number for this recall is 04172018.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
