The frame has broken in several places under the trailer making it unsafe to move. An insurance adjuster has seen the damage and determined it is not an insurance claim, but a manufacturing defect. This damage occurred during normal usage and could have caused an unforeseen collision to happen while in transit, putting my family and other vehicles/people in danger. The damage was only noticed as we unpacked from a camping trip (see included pictures) in late September of 2022. Research into the problem with this trailer revealed there are m…

Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

22V067000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer:Lpg Systems

Reported: 2022-02-08 (February 8, 2022)

Holiday House, LLC (Holiday House) is recalling certain 2019-2021 27RQ, 24TB, and 18RB travel trailers, equipped with Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulators. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.

Consequence: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 18, 2022. Owners may contact Holiday House customer service at 574-206-0016.

Holiday House, LLC (Holiday House) is recalling certain 2021-2022 27RQ, 24TB, and 18RB travel trailers. The quick disconnect fittings in the LP gas system may be cracked, causing a gas leak.

Consequence: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the quick disconnect and perform a leak test, and replace the quick disconnect, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 9, 2023. Owners may contact Holiday House customer service at 1-574-206-0016.

1) The main frame on the trailer cracked , and the trailer is now sagging . The tire is rubbing on the wheel well. 2) The risk is the trailer will collapse on the wheel , and the wheel will lock up , causing the trailer to swerve and/or flip over 3) I spoke with the Holiday House president , Steve Ragland and with Chuck Frederick at the company back in June . They both acknowledged that it was a design problem with the frame on the 18RB models . and that it would be addressed, but they haven't followed up with any details, despite several cal…

While in tow, our almost new camper collapsed with the axel pulling away from the frame & tires pushing through the floor into the interior. Roadside assistance had it hauled to a RV repair shop who told us we were lucky to be alive & this unit did not belong on the road as the frame wasn’t strong enough to support the weight. Our insurance’s independent claims adjuster also found it was clear no impact to the unit or fault of ours & that there was failure of the frame support to bridge the weight. The frame was broken in multiple places center…

This problem pertains to a Holiday House Travel Trailer, model 18RB. The frame is not per Holiday House published specifications. The aluminum that was used for the frame is smaller and thinner than what HH specified. The frame is starting to sag which is the same problem reported by other owners prior to total frame failure. Since the frame has not failed yet and no crash occurred, I can't answer some the questions below. I inspected the frame on August 5th of 2022 and HH agreed in a phone call that my frame needs to be strengthened. I spoke w…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
