ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLES DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION COULD NOT BE DISENGAGED FROM DRIVE. BRINGING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP REQUIRED MORE EFFORT THAN NORMAL. MY VEHICLE IS A HONDA MOTORCYCLE WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (DCT). WHEN COMING TO FULL STOP, THE MOTORCYCLE NORMALLY GOES INTO LOW IDLE, WHICH DISENGAGES THE CLUTCH. I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURNED OFF THE ENGINE, AND RESTARTED THE MOTORCYCLE. AFTER RESTARTING THE ENGINE I WAS NOT ABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF NEUTRAL. Recall history

1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

15V439000 · Electrical System:Starter Assembly:Relay

Reported: 2015-07-08 (July 8, 2015)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 ST1300PA, 2014-2015 CB500, CBR500, CRF250L, CBR650, CTX700, NSS300, VT750, VT1300, 2015 CB300F, CBR300, CBR600, and 2014-2016 NC700 motorcycles. In the affected motorcycles, sealant may have been incorrectly applied to the starter relay switch, and as a result, the electrical system may have a loss of power.

Consequence: A loss of electrical power may cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace any affected starter relay switch, free of charge. The recall began on August 31, 2015. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is JS9 and JT0.

While riding my Honda CTX 700 DCT, I lost all engine power, on two occasions. The second was after the Honda Certified Dealer said they repaired it. The first incident was while city riding at 25MPH, and the second was during dense highway traffic at 60MPH. I was barely able to safely pull to the side of the road on momentum alone. If the cars around me were any less attentive, I could have been struck, causing injury or death. I have received conflicting information from both the dealer, and Honda Corporate. They claim that the fault wa…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
