WHEN I START MY CAR AND SHIFT IT FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE ON COLD MORNINGS, THERE IS A PRONOUNCED DELAY IN THE CAR MOVING. IN ADDITION, WHEN I HAVE TO ABRUPTLY BRAKE THE TRANSMISSION OCCASIONALLY SLIPS AND/OR SKIPS. I BROUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND I HAVE ONLY HAD IT SEVEN WEEKS. I SHOULD NOT HAVE PERFORMANCE ISSUES AT THE STAGE. MY PREVIOUS CAR WAS A HONDA ACCORD WITH 310,000 MILES AND THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO DECLINE SIMILAR TO THIS IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. I've taken this vehicle to dealership 5 times between October 2021 and February 18, 2022. Three different times the brakes activated without my touching them. Three other times the brakes stopped the car even as I was slowing down for a stoplight. This could cause someone behind me to "rear-end" my car. I have been to my dealership four times and they could not duplicate the issue, no codes found so they could not fix it. One other was a dealership out of town. 23V046000 · Back Over Prevention:Display Function | Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

Reported: 2023-02-02 (February 2, 2023)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Fit and 2019-2022 HR-V vehicles. The rearview camera image may not display when the engine is started with a key, due to a design error in the audio display power circuit. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence: An inoperative rearview camera display can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the display audio unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 13, 2023. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is 6DW. This recall has been superseded by NHTSA recall number 24V-384. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 23V-046 will need to have the new remedy completed under recall 24V-384.

The sun visor (Driver side) has become difficult to operate. Also, the sun visor does not close flush to the cabin roof. The sun visor is not operating as it should. I reached out to Honda but since there is no recall and this repair is outside of the warranty period, they will not make the repair at their cost. I do not want to purchase a new visor if Honda has not acknowledged the problem and made changes.

My digital cluster that displays how many miles my vehicle has, how many miles I have until I am out of gas and how much gas I have does not display correctly. From my own research this is due to the solder used during manufacturing being lead free. Because it is lead free it cracks in cold weather and causes a poor connection causing the display to be unreadable. I have read online and thousands of people are having the exact same issue. This is not a normal wear and tear issue and rather a manufacture defect that Honda is aware of.

I got in my vehicle to go to work, put the vehicle in drive and it would not move. The engine light came on, a large red flashing PARK on the dash and the tire light. I placed the car back in park. Checked to see if the parking break had accidentally been engaged. It had not. I placed the vehicle in drive again, unable to move. Attempted to reverse. Unable to move. Placed the vehicle back in park. Turned off the ignition. Pulled the key out slightly and waited. I restarted the engine and as all of the lights were flashing I placed the vehicle i…

On the fourth visit to my dealership, the cameras were adjusted and front wheels a…

My husband and I were driving down the road on the way home from dinner in the rain when the car suddenly started braking very hard but very quickly. I thought at first that my husband had braked a little too hard all of a sudden, but he said he did not. Before he could tell me that though the dash started lighting up. Brake system failure, electronic parking brake failure, hill start assist problem, power-steering problem, and many others - pretty much every safety sensor that could come on. I then worried we would not be able to brake when ne…

Odometer section of dashboard failed to light up/turn on. Continued to happen after restarting the car. Eventually after running the car for ~20 minutes it started flashing and turned on. If this continues to occur or fails completely/indefinitely, there is a risk of stalling on the road or highway if unable to monitor the gas gauge.

CVT transmission failed and vehicle lost power while on Interstate I-88 65 MPH speed zone. f Momentum allowed me to reach an exit at which point I needed to push the vehicle by myself off the roadway. Vehicle mileage was slighlty over 60,000 miles and the $10,000 dollar repair was not covered by warranty. Dangerous and costly to consumers! Same CVT was recalled or warranty extended in earlier models.
