Reported: 2008-06-05 (June 5, 2008)

ISUZU IS RECALLING 16,859 MY 2006-2007 ISUZU NPR, NQR, NRR, GMC W3500, W4500, W5500 AND CHEVROLET W3500, W4500, W5500 TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH DIESEL ENGINES. DIESEL FUEL MAY SEEP OR LEAK FROM THE FUEL PIPE AT THE UPPER OR LOWER FUEL PORT ON THE DIESEL FUEL SUPPLY PUMP.

IF SEEPAGE OR LEAKAGE IS DETECTED, THE FUEL SUPPLY PUMP WILL BE REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE. THE RECALL WILL BEGIN ON JUNE 30, 2008. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
