OUR 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER PUSHED OPEN THE SCREEN DOOR AND FELL OUT OF THE CAMPER, WHICH WAS A FALL OF ABOUT THREE FEET. THE SCREEN DOOR WAS LATCHED SHUT. OBVIOUSLY, THE LATCH IS NOT VERY STRONG SINCE A 1 YEAR OLD CHILD COULD PUSH IT OPEN. THERE IS NO LOCK ON THE SCREEN DOOR AND NO WARNINGS ANYWHERE IN THE CAMPER OR IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL INDICATING THAT THE SCREEN DOOR IS NOT CHILD PROOF. SHE DID NOT FALL THROUGH THE SCREEN, BUT ACTUALLY WAS ABLE TO PUSH THE DOOR OPEN. WHAT KIND OF DOOR SHOULD A 1 YEAR OLD CHILD BE ABLE TO OPEN, WHICH IS COMPLETE…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
