Recall history

5 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

22V290000 · Steering:Hydraulic Power Assist:Hose, Piping, And Connections

Reported: 2022-05-03 (May 3, 2022)

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Jayco Greyhawk, Greyhawk Prestige, Redhawk, Entegra Esteem, and Odyssey recreational vehicles. An inadequate connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake Hydroboost unit may result in a sudden loss of power steering fluid.

Consequence: A sudden loss of power steering fluid can result in a loss of power steering and power brake assist, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the connection between the power steering lines and the Hydroboost unit, and replace the power steering lines, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 15, 2022. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 22V-089.

22V575000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer

Reported: 2022-08-04 (August 4, 2022)

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2022 Greyhawk, Greyhawk Prestige, Melbourne, Redhawk, and Entegra Coach Odyssey vehicles. The electric retractable awning has a welded seam on the fabric that may separate, potentially allowing the awning to drop beyond normal operation.

Consequence: An awning that drops or extends beyond normal operation can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair, or replace the awning fabric, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 31, 2022. Owners may contact Jayco's customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903578.

Consequence: Missing axle information may result in the vehicle being overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will install a new corrected certification label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 31, 2023. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903583.

Reported: 2023-05-04 (May 4, 2023)

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2022 Esteem, Odyssey, Redhawk, and Greyhawk motorhomes built on Ford chassis. The paint along the weld seam of the fuel tank may peel and lead to corrosion of the exposed metal, which can result in a fuel leak.

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Ford dealers will inspect the fuel tank and replace, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 31, 2023. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is Ford 22V-925.

While driving down the road at about 45mph, the driver side upper cabin window located adjacent to the eating table exploded and blew into the cabin. The window shattered and glass blew throughout the cabin area. Whatever caused this, the blast was strong enough to pull the Velcro straps holding the seat cushions blown off and the glass ripped the cushion's vinyl. If someone had been sitting at the table, they would have been extremely cut and hurt and possibly blinded. I had no warning to this situation. At first, I thought someone had sh…

After a recent purchase of a new 2026 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV RV, I discovered my 2 cats trying to enter a previously unknown and unfinished opening adjacent to a designated sleeping/play area of my RV in the cab overhead. One of the cats was panicked as he was stuck in the opening. The opening is very difficult to see unless you climb well forward into the sleeping area for closer examination which I did not do before my purchase. The area contains a very long area of sharp, unfinished and in some places splintered fiberglass edging that actual…

Automatic transfer relay over heated creating a fire hazard. It's location under the bed prevents seeing the fire until it is burning. The switch is available for viewing. The rv carries 50 gallons of gasoline and 50 lbs propane a fire could cause collateral damage. This specific problem has not been inspected by a dealer or others. There was no danger warning. This is not an isolated incident on rv group websites there are many reports of this happening. No one to my knowledge has determined the cause of the malfunction that causes the fire ri…

GOT RECALL FINAL REMEDY NOTICE FROM JAYCO ON SER#8H1ME0161. HOWEVER, CAMPING WORLD HAS SAID THE PARTS TO FIX THIS HAZARD ARE ON "BACK ORDER" FOR AT LEAST 12 OR MORE WEEKS SO THEY CAN'T SCHEDULE REPAIR APPOINTMENTS. WE WILL NEED TO OPERATE THIS VEHICLE SOON AND THIS DELAY CAUSES RISK THAT WE CANNOT AVOID! THUS JAYCO'S "FINAL REMEDY" IS FALSE REMEDY, THEY HAVE NOT ACTUALLY FIXED THIS POSSIBLE HAZARD.

I OWN A 2013 JAYCO GREYHAWK MOTORHOME ON THE FORD E-450 CHASSIS EQUIPPED WITH MICHELIN LTX M/S TIRES, LT225-75R-16. THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TIRES HAD 26,000 MILES ON THEM BEFORE PROBLEMS DEVELOPED. In January 2021, while traveling at approximately 65 miles per hour on a Chicago area tollroad, my motor home suddenly began violently bouncing up and down in the rear. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison
