Consequence: An air bag that does not deploy as intended can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will secure the connector, free of charge. All vehicles have been remedied. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 71B.

THE TRANSMISSION TAKES FAR TOO LONG TO DOWNSHIFT WHEN CALLED UPON FOR A QUICK DROP IN GEARS. WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OR EVEN NORMAL CITY SPEEDS, WHEN YOU NEED TO CHANGE LANES FOR A QUICK PASS OF ANOTHER VEHICLE AND PUSH THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR, THE VEHICLE IS LEFT WAITING FOR 2 TO 3 SECONDS FOR A DOWNSHIFT WITH ONLY COASTING POWER, NO ACCELERATION. THIS LAG TIME FOR A DOWNSHIFT & APPLICATION OF POWER CLEARLY NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BECAUSE IT IS HARDLY SAFE OR REASONABLE.

I was driving on a busy street. The fuel gauge said I had 10-12 miles of range left before I was out of fuel. 2 miles later, at a major intersection, my car stalled in middle of the intersection. A kind stranger help me push it off of the road. I could have been hit by a car. This is a major safety issue. This is the first of two times this has happened since August.

Service 4WD light came on. Took to Jeep dealership. They stated the PTU needs to be replaced. My car has been in the shop for over 4 months and no ETA on part arrival. This is a common issue in Jeep Cherokee’s but my VIN is not included in a recall. I was told by dealership it is safe to drive but I drive on the highway over and hour everyday to and from work. I have read it can result in loss of driving ability and the ability to put in park.

Your website has some trouble & won't accept my jpg files. First time to see this. I use cruise control all the time on 3 vehicles I own. But, this JEEP has a strange problem that is not safe. Almost all vehicles I have driven with cruise controls will exceed set speed by 1~3mph while going down a steep hill. But my JEEP will exceed by 5~7mph on steep hills. I have turned off cruise control when it didn't control speed and drove manually for a while, then used cruise control again. If I set at 70mph, often speed will increase to 75~77mph going…

Traveling in heavy morning traffic in inside lane at approximately 25mph, engine suddenly lost power with simultaneous ‘Shift to Park’ error message and brief flash of amber warning light on instrument panel. Vehicle would not accelerate when gas pedal pressed, engine only revved. Driver (myself) had to slam on brakes and quickly put car in P then back to D in order to get car to accelerate forward, narrowly avoiding multi-car collision from behind. Car is brand new ‘22 (owned only 6 days) with less than 600 miles total. Vehicle will be dropped…

While stopping at a light, the car will just stall. While driving, the car will stall. This is all a safety issue, especially at night when the car stalls and you have no lights or any way for anybody to see you.

On Sunday evening (4/16/2023) we noticed a very scary noise coming from our 2022 Jeep Cherokee while we were on the freeway. No warning lights were on in the vehicle. Thankfully we were close to home when we noticed the noise and were able to immediately get off the 110 freeway. We decided not to drive the car and had it towed on Tuesday morning to the nearest Chrysler Dealership, Bravo CDJR of Alhambra. Today we received confirmation from the dealership that the PTU casing is cracked, leaking fluid and metal shavings were found. Dealer has …

Unknown The brake and gas pedal are so close to each other that when I switched from one to the other my foot scraped the brake pedal causing the car to stop or speed up. I am afraid to drive it. I paid cash($44000) for it. I notified the dealership and then had to come to the nursing home for rehab and have been unable to take it back so it’s sitting at my daughters house for over 6 mos. The dealership was emailing me frequently to come in and check out their cars but when I told them that I wanted a car for that one and I was afraid to drive …

Previously reported that my vehicle was throwing the code for the 40D. I returned today, vehicle vehicle start to slam, jerk. Jeep Cares escalated after dealership tech confirmed active failure. Fuse pulled, but can't really drive my car to avoid damages. Now waiting for them to give dealership approval to order part. I still have the 5,/60 Warranty. It's red tape and leaving me driving a dangerous vehicle or be grounded. I'm now waiting fit the case manager to call dealership. This is very upsetting and I blame Chrysler, but the actual dea…
