On or about August 2021, the front frame flexed, causing the body to crack from both front slides lower forward corners going forward. Camper was taken to RVOutlet in Longs SC (now Blue Compass RV)to be repaired in September of 2021. Reported: 2022-09-29 (September 29, 2022)

Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Alpine, Avalanche, 2020-2023 Fuzion and Impact travel trailers. The hydraulic leveling leg foot pads may become loose and separate from the vehicle.

Consequence: A foot pad that separates during transit can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the mounting bolt and reinstall with thread locking adhesive, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 10, 2022. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 22-437.

This has been a contiuned issue with not only the Alpine but Montana as well. Especially with Front Slide outs. The unit is cracking at the lower front frame of the slide out. Causing dangerous cracks to the inner frame. The unit is over flexing and therefore causing the Welds to break , which will cause the walls to crack and you could end up with extreme damage. My unit ended up with $20,000 worth of damage. I was lucky my insurance paid it, but at that time we did not know that it was a frame issue. It was not until after the fact and …

RV shows early sign of possible frame flex by developing a bulge on the front drivers side slideout area. Keystone was notified and denied warranty participation because unit was outside of the warranty period. Frame flex is a known safety issue on multiple RVs and keystone is aware of this. Keystone has repaired other units due to the safety concern of a crack in the frame jeopardizing the integrity of the RV while being towed. The RV was seen at the dealer who took measurements that are consistent with frame flex.

The sidewall of the camper is cracking at the front, lower corner of the left front slide out. This could be an indication of a major structural issue within the wall of the camper. This crack is located in an area of high stress due to the design of the 5th wheel camper.

On or about August 2021, the front frame flexed, causing the body to crack from both front slides lower forward corners going forward. Bent/broken frame. We are stranded in Northern CA. The unit is available for inspection. This RV is not safe to be on the road. The insurance company told is that it is non-drivable. See our story below: We have a 3 year old Keystone Alpine 5th Wheel. The frame is bent and cross members are broken. We do not know how it happened. There has been no accident, collision, we didn't run over anything that we recall, no sharp turns or anything that we can recall that would have caused this. We have reached out to Keystone. I literally had to call…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

My husband and I purchased a 2021 alpine Keystone 3712 KB fifth wheel on June 2, 2021 around the end of Aug 2021. We left to Oregon for our vacation. Around the first part of September 2021 our trailer started showing signs of issues. We put it in the camper world in Eugene OR and found out that it had front structural damage where they tore out all the the foam off the front goose neck & replaced it with tongue in groove wood. In November 2021 we were finally able to bring the trailer back to Utah. On our way home. We blew two driver side tire…
