PURCHASED THE TRAILER ON 9/25/20 AND WHEN I GOT IT HOME I WAS CHECKING EQUIPMENT AND NOTICED THE PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE WAS NOT WIRED TO ACUATE THE BRAKE. ONLY THE DRIVERS SIDE IS WIRED. I NOTICED IT WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP, AS IF THE TRAILER WAS PUSHING THE TRUCK. I HAVE CONTACTED KEYSTONE VIA EMAIL TO REPORT THIS POSSIBLE SAFETY OVERSIGHT TO THEM. I WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENT.

Recall history

1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

21V708000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer:Lpg Systems

Reported: 2021-09-13 (September 13, 2021)

Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Dutchmen Aspen Trail, Coleman, Keystone Cougar, Bullet, Passport, Hideout, Springdale, Sprinter, 2019 Keystone Impact, Fuzion, Residence, Retreat, Summerland, and Dutchmen Kodiak recreational vehicles, equipped with Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulators. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.

Consequence: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters mailed February 25, 2021. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 21-414.

The propane gas auto change over valve on my Keystone Hideout camper is not working properly. Keystone says that my camper is not covered under recall 21V427. The date code on the gas valve is N 17 49. There is a Jayco recall for the same thing, recall 21V425. The 425 recall says that the N 17 XX regulator is part of the recall. Why is my regulator not recalled ? I am the second owner, but I verified with the original owner that the gas valve has never been replaced. Does Keystone need to expand their recall date range?

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison
