Reported: 2016-05-19 (May 19, 2016)

Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Keystone Summerland recreational trailers, models 1700FQ, 1750RD and 1800BH, manufactured April 8, 2016, to April 20, 2016. The trailers may have been manufactured with ST215/75R14 Load Range C tires rated for 1870lbs, when they should have been manufactured with ST215/75R14 Load Range D tires rated for 2200lbs.

Consequence: Vehicle owners may inadvertently overload the tires which may result in tire failure, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will replace the tires with ones of the proper load rating, free of charge. The recall began on May 25, 2016. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 16-253.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
