Owner report 11486471 · 2022-09-26 (September 26, 2022)

I have a 2022 Lexus NX. The driver's side mirror shakes excessively and consistently. It is a serious safety concern because at night there is blurry lights reflecting and makes seeing cars difficult. It is also a safety concern because during the day you cannot see the distance cars or objects are away from the vehicle as the mirror is constantly shaking. This puts myself and others at risk of collision. This also causes me to become carsick when driving. I took the car into the dealer, Lexus of Riverside, in Riverside, California two times si…

2022 Lexus NX driver's seat is crooked, confirmed by Lexus dealership and Lexus field rep. The left side of the seat is back further while the right side of the seat is closer to dashboard. Lexus has confirmed that the seat is properly attached and bolted to the seat rails. An identical seat from an unaffected 2022 Lexus NX was placed in my vehicle and did not fix the crooked orientation; the replacement seat sat crooked as well. The vehicle was delivered brand new to me from Lexus with this defect. This defect may affect the crash worthiness o…

It’s necessary to follow a manual procedure to unlock the driver door so the hood can be opened and the auxiliary battery can be charged and the car jump started. A very serious issue with inadequate side mirror visibility: The brand new 2022 Lexus NX driver side mirror does not have a range of adjustment to safely accommodate shorter drivers. The primary driver of the vehicle is 5 feet 3 inches tall and when seat adjustments have been made, the driver side mirror does not articulate inward enough, preventing the driver from seeing the side of the vehicle nor an area near the side of vehicle. A 3 cars collision involves this vehicle accelerating while my mom was holding on to the brake pedal. She was pulling into our home driveway, when suddenly it accelerate and hit my sister Prius and my dad's Rav4. See photos. No one pull into the driveway with their foot on the gas pedal. I strongly believe the agency should investigate this vehicle to capture a potential recall with this model. 25V744000 · Back Over Prevention:Display Function

Reported: 2025-10-30 (October 30, 2025)

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. A software error may cause the rearview camera to freeze or display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence: A rearview camera that fails to display an image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the parking assist software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 2, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB13 and 25LB06. Subaru's number for this recall is WRE25.

I am happy to have anyone come look at my vehicle for inspection. My passenger headlight daytime running light LEDs have changed color and are failing in this sealed unit. I have spoken with a service technician at a body shop, and had my insurance company inspect my headlight as they all believe it is faulty. The daytime running element is a completely off-white yellowed color, while it should only be cool white LED color. This completely varied color impacts the performance and visibility of my vehicle. This different color and fading output…

2022 Lexus NX 350h, VIN [VIN removed]. On multiple documented occasions since 2022, while backing up, the vehicle's rear camera/backup system has detected an object that was not present and automatically applied the emergency brake, causing a sudden hard stop with no actual obstruction , at least 7 times per dealer records (repair orders dated 8/11/2022 and 7/19/2023, Lexus of Riverside), including once with my child in the vehicle. The dealer was unable to duplicate or repair the condition on either visit. Separately, the vehicle has twice bec…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.

Available is a video of the door ring showing the car engine ramp up after forcefully stopped by two park cars.

[XXX] I was Braking while pulling into my Carport almost at the Rear curb, when Suddenly and without Any Warning, my 2022 NX 450h Accelerated Rapidly and sent Me up a short Hill and Crashed into a Large Tree While I still had my foot on the Brake. Then it kept Accelerating and the Front tires Dug a 4in Deep Hole while they were Spinning still with My foot on the brake! I was able to get the car into Reverse and backed it down the hill and turned it off. It wasn't Drivable due to the Extensive Front Damage, so I had it Towed it to my Local Rosev…

The electrical system failed. It operates just about all the systems including items that are normally operated manually. My wife entered the car and pressed the start button and the car would not start. The car locked my wife inside with no manual method for opening the door. Fortunately, I was home at the time and was able to execute a manual release of the door using a key found inside the remote. Lexus sent a AAA service truck to jump start the engine. We believe this dangerous situation is related to our previous complaint #11495096 for VI…

The transmission (Torque Converter) is shuddering at a certain RPM range when it is in 3rd gear (in between 1000-2000 RPM) in my case. (Roughly 15-25 mph) This could lead to an uneven acceleration and cause an accident. Especially in a bad traction situation ex)snow, rain, uneven surface and etc. Also, it could cause and accident due to unable to accelerate in time. The vehicle was inspected and dealership were saying it was the tire and balancing issue, but not fixed. There is no warning light associated with.
