Over the past month, my 2020 Mercedes-Benz C300 has been experiencing unexpected and increasingly concerning issues with the steering. These problems began suddenly and without any prior warning signs. Initially, the steering has been making grinding sounds more usual, particularly at lower speeds and when making tight turns. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
