Owner report 11456646 · 2022-03-14 (March 14, 2022)

The rear brake does not slow the vehicle even when pressed to the end of brake lever travel. Yes, available for inspection upon request. Braking capability is reduced (only front brake works). Yes, the problem has been confirmed by dealer, and I was informed that it has been seen on other vehicles of the same make/model. The dealer attempted to fix the issue but it has resurfaced after only a short amount of time. The dealer informed me that it was a design issue where the brake fluid is too close to the hot exhaust system and this problem…

Owner report 11474982 · 2022-07-20 (July 20, 2022)

There is a known defect with all MV Agusta Motorcycles whereby the rear brake fails to operate in a normal fashion due to air getting into the brake system. The result is a "squishy" rear brake that does not activate the rear brake. End result is non-functioning rear brake. This puts the rider in a dangerous situation where they may not be able to brake in time to prevent an accident or full stop when needed. The problem is well known and documented by MV Agusta. My vehicle has been into the authorized dealer to rectify the problem 3 times, c…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
