Recall history
3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
17V728000 · Electrical System:Wiring:Fuses And Circuit Breakers
Reported: 2017-11-17 (November 17, 2017)
Newell Coach Corp. (Newell) is recalling certain 2017-2018 P50 coaches. These coaches have 100 amp self-resetting circuit breakers that may trip unexpectedly causing a loss of essential coach chassis systems such as ignition power, head lights, tail lights and wipers.
Consequence: If the circuit breaker trips there is an increased risk of a crash.
Remedy: Newell will notify owners and will replace the 100 amp breaker with a 120 amp breaker, free of charge. The recall began on December 5, 2017. Owners may contact Newell customer service at 1-888-363-9355.
NHTSA campaign record ↗19V379000 · Visibility:Windshield Wiper/Washer:Linkages
Reported: 2019-05-17 (May 17, 2019)
Newell Coach Corp. (Newell) is recalling certain 2017-2020 P50 motorcoaches. The passenger side wiper arm linkage may be too short, possibly causing the wiper to malfunction and rotate in a downward position.
Consequence: If the wiper rotates in a downward position, visibility through the right side of the windshield may be reduced, increasing the risk of crash.
Remedy: Newell will notify owners, and dealer will inspect and replace the wiper linkage with one that has been properly aligned, if necessary, free of charge. The recall began June 18, 2019. Owners may contact Newell customer service at 1-888-363-9355.

Reported: 2021-07-20 (July 20, 2021)
Newell Coach Corp. (Newell) is recalling certain 2008-2022 P50 vehicles. The adhesive that bonds the vented portion of the window may fail.
Consequence: Adhesive failure may cause the vent portion of the window to detach, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Newell will inspect the windows, and replace the vent if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 29, 2021. Owners may contact Newell's customer service at 1-888-363-9355.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2022: 0 complaints · 2023: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
