The brakes are very inconsistent with a spongy pedal. When a vehicle in front of me caused an emergency stop, the pedal continued to travel almost to the floor and never felt firm. However, if the adaptive cruise control starts to brake first and the brake pedal gets depressed by the driver after that, it feels firm. These brakes are very unsafe on a truck rated to tow as much as these are.

After shifting into reverse the infotainment screen sets brightness to full which at night is blinding and causes eyesight visibility to be extremely low when looking at other views to back up like the mirrors or outside the window. This increases the risk of hitting something or someone when in reverse. Instead, the infotainment screen brightness should not change. Specifically during night time.

The Stereo Screen went black, unable to turn back on the dealership had to replace the entire stereo. In addition, flashing ODO and other indicators on the dash. The IDLE is out of control which shakes the whole truck. Since the screen does not work the backup camera is also off which makes it very hard to backup. The truck feels very different when the ODO is flashing and the screen is black. It is not dealer / transportation mode just FYI. The Truck was towed back to the dealership after a 16 day service visit for the first visit.

I have had more than one failure, but this is the worst. The problem occurs, I believe, when RAM does an update to their uconnect system, something they do often and without warning. Strange and unexpected things happen when they do. In this instance, I had just started on a trip and was on the highway going about 65 mph. I had the cruise control on that brakes automatically when a something is in the way or you approach a slower car. Suddenly, the cruise control shut off and warning lights came on that the front collision system had failed…

Twice, the seatbelt recoil mechanism has failed. Not only will the seatbelt not self retract, potentially leaving a considerable amount of slack in the seatbelt, but also the seatbelt does not stop when it is pulled quickly, meaning that it doesn't actually do anything in the case of an accident. The original seatbelt on this vehicle did the same thing, and after I had it replaced, the replacement does the same thing, indicating that it is clearly a faulty component at a scale larger than an individual faulty piece.

The truck is currently exhibiting a loud metal tapping/ slapping/ ticking noise when driving from the engine. It is loud enough it can be heard over road/ wind noise, it can also be heard in high idle situations. The truck has been to the dealer where it was purchased and they refused to research the issue because of a current RAM service bulletin that the noise is “under investigation”. It has 6,000 miles and the noise started immediately after the first oil change.

The contact owned a 2024 RAM 2500. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at 40 MPH, he attempted to slowly bring the vehicle to a complete stop upon approaching a stop sign. However, with the brake pedal depressed all the way to the floorboard, the vehicle failed to stop or even slow as intended, causing the driver to unsafely pass through the intersection without stopping. Afterward, the driver smelled smoke in the vehicle's interior shortly before observing flames from the front driver-side door exterior panel. The driver coul…

Brake pedal had 6"-8" of travel before pedal started to stop the vehicle. The brakes were bled 3 times and the truck still doesn't stop properly. I'm told it stops better than any other new truck on the lot. BIG SAFTEY ISSUE!!! I'm told it is what it is and drive it, I refuse to drive an unsafe vehicle with myself or my family in the vehicle! The brakes have felt funny for a while, the truck has less than 6000 miles on it and has been back 3 times for the same issue.

The brake pedal on my truck is very spongy. It goes halfway to the floor if it isn't pumped at least 2 times before braking. I find it very distressing in tight situations where I do not have time to pump before braking. I took it to the dealership and they say there is nothing wrong. This is a brand new truck.

I purchased a new 2024 Ram 2500 Laramie in January 2024. In February 2025, the vehicle began experiencing intermittent no-start conditions related to an electrical issue. Over several months, it also developed persistent Uconnect system malfunctions and power-folding side mirrors that would not unfold, creating a serious safety hazard. On July 2, 2025, while driving at highway speed, the driver’s side mirror folded inward on its own and remained loose, flopping in the wind, making it impossible to maintain visibility and lane awareness. Ram’s …

The vehicle experienced repeated electrical and no-start issues believed to be related to the RF/electrical communication system. The truck has been returned to the dealership repeatedly for this issue and recently spent approximately two months at the dealership for diagnosis and repair. After finally being returned, the vehicle was completely dead the very next morning and would not start. The vehicle has also experienced dangerous electrical failures while being driven. During one incident at night, the headlights and interior electrical sy…

While driving, the truck began to violently shake when downshifting. As I was exiting the highway and braking, the shaking intensified, and the truck stalled while I was traveling around 30 MPH, causing a complete power loss. To avoid a collision, I veered off the ramp and ended up scraping a road sign, which caused damage to the bed above the right fender, the road sign was intact and there was no damage to the sign. When I attempted to restart the truck and placed it in drive, it accelerated on its own. Applying the brakes only made it acce…
