Recall history
3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
07V016000 · Electrical System: Instrument Cluster/Panel
Reported: 2007-01-24 (January 24, 2007)
ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES, AN INCORRECT SCREW WAS USED TO INSTALL THE BLACK AND WHITE CRT BACK-UP MONITOR IN THE DASH. THE INCORRECT SCREWS ARE 1/4" LONGER THAN SPECIFIED AND MAY CONTACT A PC BOARD INSIDE THE MONITOR WHICH COULD POTENTIALLY HIT A HIGH VOLTAGE CIRCUIT ON THE PC BOARD OF APPROXIMATELY 10,000-13,000 VOLTS.
Consequence: IF THE SCREW MAKES CONTACT WITH THE HIGH VOLTAGE TRACER ON THE PC BOARD AND SOMEONE WOULD TOUCH THE SCREW HEAD WHILE THE POWER IS ON, AN ELECTRICAL SHOCK COULD OCCUR CAUSING INJURY.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE BACK-UP MONITOR TO VERIFY THE OPERATION OF THE MONITOR FREE OF CHARGE. IF THE MONITOR IS OPERATING PROPERLY, THE REPAIR WILL CONSIST OF REPLACING THE INCORRECT SCREW WITH THE SPECIFIED SCREW AND TESTING FOR PROPER OPERATION. IF THE MONITOR IS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY ON INITIAL INSPECTION, THE MONITOR WILL BE REPLACED USING THE CORRECT SCREW. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 9, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 877-332-9239.
NHTSA campaign record ↗07V404000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer
Reported: 2007-09-06 (September 6, 2007)
ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH ATWOOD SEALED BURNER RANGES, THE RANGE AND SLIDE-IN BURNER TUBES LEADING FROM THE GAS MANIFOLD TO THE BURNER HEADS HAD A DEPRESSION OR 'KINK' IN THE EXTERIOR BEND RESTRICTING PROPER AIRFLOW AND GAS MIXTURE.
Consequence: THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT IN CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING.
Remedy: MONACO IS WORKING WITH ATWOOD TO HAVE THE TUBES REPLACED ON THESE RANGES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 14, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ATWOOD AT 1-800-348-7418 OR MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.
NHTSA campaign record ↗08V001000 · Structure:Body
Reported: 2008-01-04 (January 4, 2008)
CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES LACK THE REQUIRED JOUNCE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE REAR WHEELS. THE TIRES MAY RUB ON THE FLAT PANELS THAT ENCLOSE THE HOLDING TANKS AREA AND THE SCREWS WHICH SECURE THESE PANELS MAY RUB THE INNER SIDEWALL OF THE REAR DUAL TIRES.
Consequence: IF THE SCREWS CONTINUE TO RUB THE INNER REAR DUAL TIRE, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THERE COULD EVENTUALLY BE A TIRE FAILURE. A TIRE BLOW OUT COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. IN ADDITION, IF THE VEHICLE IS RUN ON A FLAT TIRE, THIS COULD LEAD TO A POTENTIAL FIRE IN THE WHEEL WELL AREA.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REMOVE THE REAR DUAL TIRES AND CUT OUT AN AREA OF FOAM FROM THE INNER WHEEL WELLS THAT WILL BE REPLACED WITH A PIECE OF ABS PLASTIC FORMED PANEL AND AN ANGLE TO SEAL THE AREA. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 23, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2007: 0 complaints · 2008: 1 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2007 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2008 | 0 | 0 | 1 |
Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2007 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2008 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
