3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
21V041000 · Steering:Column:Mounting Bracket | Steering
Reported: 2021-02-02 (February 2, 2021)
Shyft Group is recalling certain 2020-2021 RV Chassis K2, K3, K4 vehicles. The steering gear mounting fasteners may come loose, and fall out or interfere with other steering components.
Consequence: If the steering gear mounting fasteners interfere with other steering components, difficulty in steering may occur, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Shyft Group will notify owners, and dealers will remove and replace the steering gear mounting fasteners, free of charge. The recall began February 12, 2021. Owners may contact Shyft Group customer service at 1-800-582-3454.

Shyft Group is recalling certain 2018-2022 K1, K2, K3, and K4 Spartan RV Chassis. The instrument cluster may intermittently go blank while the vehicle is in motion.
Consequence: A blank instrument cluster display may be missing critical information such as the vehicle's speed and warning lights, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Shyft Group will update the control module software, and reroute and secure the duct work, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 15, 2021. Owners may contact Shyft Group customer service at 1-800-582-3454. Shyft Group's number for this recall is 21-13.

Consequence: A loss of power steering assist increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Shyft Group will inspect the pump serial number, and replace the power steering pump if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 23, 2021. Owners may contact Shyft Group's customer service at 1-800-582-3454. Shyft Group's number for this recall is 21-21.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2022: 0 complaints · 2023: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
