Owner report 10158454 · 2006-05-28 (May 28, 2006)
I PURCHASED A 2005 TRAVEL SUPREME MOTORHOME, MODEL 42DS04 IN APRIL OF 2005. THE UNIT WAS PROVIDED WITH A SLEEPER SOFA WHICH SLEEPS TWO ADULTS. THE BEDROOM ALSO SLEEPS TWO ADULTS. I BELIEVE THAT THE UNIT SHOULD BE EQUIPPED WITH SEAT BELTS FOR A MINIMUM OF FOUR PEOPLE. WHILE RESEARCHING THE SITUATION I FOUND A RECALL, 06V002 WHICH COVERED A SIMILAR SITUATION WHERE NERVE HAD FAILED TO PROVIDE SEAT BELTS CONSISTENT WITH THE SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS OF THREE MODELS OF THEIR MOTORHOMES. I DISCUSSED THIS WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER AT TRAVE…

Recall history
1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
05V273000 · Electrical System:12v/24v/48v Battery:Cables
Reported: 2005-06-08 (June 8, 2005)
ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES, THE HARNESS AND CABLES WERE ROUTED INCORRECTLY. SHARP CASTING EDGES OF THE TRANSMISSION LIFTING EAR CUT INTO THE CABLES OR THE WIRE HARNESS.
Consequence: SMOKE MAY OCCUR WHICH MAY NOT BE VISIBLE TO THE DRIVER AND AN ELECTRICAL SHORT MAY OCCUR WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REROUTE THE HARNESS AND CABLES AWAY FROM THE TRANSMISSION LIFTING EAR, AVOIDING THE CASTED PART WHICH WAS THE SOURCE OF CHAFFING. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 26, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT SPARTAN AT 517-543-6400.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2005: 1 complaints · 2006: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2005 | 0 | 1 | 1 |
| 2006 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2005 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| 2006 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
