Recall history
2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
13V096000 · Equipment
Reported: 2013-03-15 (March 15, 2013)
Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2000-2009 TC, RM, OM-DHL, and XM Aerial Device utility trucks which have boom controls mounted in a console at the truck bed. A seal within the hydraulic rotary manifold may fail causing the aerial device to move inadvertently.
Consequence: Unexpected movement of the Aerial Device while in use may lead to personal injury.
Remedy: Terex will notify owners, and dealers will reconfigure the hydraulic plumbing and add a solenoid, free of charge. The recall began on May 15, 2013. Owners may contact Terex at 1-605-884-3892.
NHTSA campaign record ↗13V160000 · Equipment
Reported: 2013-04-24 (April 24, 2013)
Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain model year 1998-2005 OM Aerial Devices used on utility trucks. The leveling arm at the elbow can develop fatigue cracks.
Consequence: Fatigue cracks may cause the leveling arm to fail. If the arm fails while the aerial device is in use, the platform may move unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injury to the operator or those nearby.
Remedy: Terex will notify owners to inspect their unit immediately and arrange repairs with Terex or dealers. Repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on May 29, 2013. Owners may contact Terex at 1-605-884-3892. Terex's recall campaign number is SN606.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2016: 0 complaints · 2017: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2016 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2017 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2016 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2017 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
