Owner report 11732681 · 2026-04-21 (April 21, 2026)

On March 13, 2026, just 8 days after purchasing a new 2026 Thor Rize motor coach built on a RAM ProMaster 1500 chassis, the driver-side rear wheel completely detached from the vehicle while traveling approximately 60 mph on Interstate 15 in California. I observed sparks in my rearview mirror and immediately pulled over due to fear of fire, especially given the presence of a propane system. This was a sudden and dangerous failure with no warning. The vehicle was towed and I was later informed that a critical component in the wheel/rotor assemb…

This vehicle is built on a 2021 Ram Promaster and was modified into a class B camper van…a 2022 Thor Rise 18M. On 2 recent occasions driving at low speeds the outdoor electric awning moved in and out about 6 inches on its own while I was driving. Luckily, I wasn’t traveling fast and both times I was able to pull over to check it to make sure it stopped and had rolled back in to its closed position before driving again. The generator sits 5 inches from the ground below the rear axle. It is not protected with any encasement, bump stops or axle shims. Please see Bulletin TSB-21-06 for using parts kit #0503506. I have contacted the dealer and manufacturer about this and the say that there was no recall on my vin# for this. They have not offered to do anything about my concerns. The dealer inspected before I purchased the vehicle on 10/21/2003. My concern is the generator will hit a bump and tear off and hit the driver behind me.

NHTSA has previously issued a recall on the failed LP hose on Rise/Scope vehicles 21V-755. For some reason, my vehicle/VIN was not included in the recall. Nevertheless, I experienced the identical failure described in the recall, but I take exception to the recall pointing to the tight bend in the hose being the issue. My hose is literally disintegrating for the full length of the hose. It appears that the rubber is defective. My vehicle had about 7500 miles on it and hadn't been driven in bad weather when I experienced the leak. Photos are …

Propane line from tank has multiple stress cracks from improper installation, whereas, the line was installed with the hose bent too tightly and without sufficient flexing to prevent cracks and leaks. The multiple cracks caused a severe propane leak with all related propane equipment becoming inoperable due to the severe danger.

The FCW light illuminates and appears to affect other random electrical systems that also illuminate. I can manually reset it in the safety settings sometimes but regardless, it shuts off at will. This event is constant in all road, weather and driving conditions. This is a severe safety issue that appears to have been a Ram problem for years now. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
