22V343000 · Wheels:Hub
Reported: 2022-05-17 (May 17, 2022)
Tracker Marine, LLC (Tracker) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Trailstar and Ranger Trail boat trailers. Please refer to the attached document for the full list of affected model numbers. The axle hubs were not tightened properly, which can cause the hubs to seize while in motion.
Consequence: Seized trailer hubs can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and tighten the hubs, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in June, 2022. Owners are advised to drive at reduced speeds and not tow a boat, until the remedy has been performed. Owners may contact Tracker's customer service at 1-417-873-4555. Tracker's number for this recall is TS-0041.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2022: 1 complaints · 2023: 0 complaints

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
