Owner report 11731581 · 2026-04-16 (April 16, 2026)
Ural has had a warranty/recall notice in place for at least 3 years due to a known safety issue with the spokes/wheels on their motorcycles. I've been waiting since summer 2023 to have the recall work completed. My nearest dealer contacted me in February notifying me that the warranty work was approved. I brought in my Ural to the same dealer on March 28. Now, April 16, the dealer is telling me I need to pay for the recall work out of pocket (instead of covered by Ural [OEM] as originally agreed upon, because Ural is not paying the dealer i…

Recall history
1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
22V431000 · Wheels:Rim
Reported: 2022-06-16 (June 16, 2022)
Irbit Motorworks of America, Inc. (Irbit) is recalling certain 2012-2017 Ural Gear Up, Ural Patrol (T), Ural Retro, 2012-2015 Ural Tourist (T), and 2015-2017 Ural cT motorcycles. The wheel spokes may have been improperly tightened, which can damage the rims or cause a wheel lock-up.
Consequence: Damaged rims or a wheel lock-up can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the wheel rims, spokes, tubes, and rim strips, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 17, 2022. Owners may contact Irbit customer service at 1-425-702-8484. This recall excludes wheel rims previously replaced by warranty and/or under NHTSA Recall No. 13V-507.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
