AFTER 17,500 MILES,I HEARD SCRAPING NOISES FROM THE REAR WHEEL THAT WOULD EVENTUALLY DISAPPEAR WHEN RIDING THE BIKE FROM A COLD START. NOTICED SLIGHT WIGGLE WHEN LEANING INTO TURNS AT 60 MPH. I PLACED THE BIKE ON A LIFT AND WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE REAR TIRE SIDE TO SIDE WITH MY HANDS. I EVENTUALLY TOOK THE BIKE TO MY DEALER TO HAVE THE REAR RIM CHECKED OUT. I WAS TOLD THAT NOT ONLY DID THE REAR BEARING FAIL ON DRIVE SIDE, BUT IT GALLED OUT THE ALUMINUM FACE INSIDE THE RIM RENDERING IT USELESS. AS A RESULT, NO BEARINGS COULD BE INSTALLED UNLESS A N…

Recall history
1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
02V263000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery
Reported: 2002-09-25 (September 25, 2002)
ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, THE FUEL PUMP CAN FAIL.
Consequence: THIS COULD CAUSE POOR ENGINE PERFORMANCE AND POSSIBLE ENGINE STALLING, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE FUEL PUMPS. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING NOVEMBER 2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT VICTORY AT 1-763-417-8650.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2000: 4 complaints · 2001: 0 complaints

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2000 | 46 | 1 | 0 |
| 2001 | 2 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
