Owner report 11644796 · 2025-02-25 (February 25, 2025)

The front grill fell off the vehicle while driving. I was actually in the process of bringing it to a service center to have the hood bracket reattached. I had also fell off and is currently subject of a recall (NHTSA campaign number 24v826000). I was able to retrieve the grill and on inspecting the brackets that hold the grill on, there was no adherent epoxy suggesting it failed to bond correctly (which was also the issue with the hood brackets).

Recall history

4 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

19V811000 · Electrical System

Reported: 2019-11-13 (November 13, 2019)

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Itasca Vista, Sunstar, and Adventurer 35F motorhomes. An electrical connector was mounted directly on the floor instead of to a standoff backet as intended.

Consequence: If the floor gets wet where the electrical connection is mounted, there is an increased risk of an electrical short and fire.

Remedy: Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will correctly mount the electrical connector onto a metal standoff bracket, free of charge. The recall began December 10, 2019. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 160.

20V019000 · Electrical System

Reported: 2020-01-15 (January 15, 2020)

Winnebago Industries, Inc (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2020 Adventurer motorhomes. When using 30 AMP service, the heat coil may not disengage when the Power Control System (PCS) calls to stop the air conditioner power.

Consequence: If the heat coil does not disengage with the air conditioner, heat can increase inside the unit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will install a blocking diode at the air conditioner unit, free of charge. The recall began February 6, 2020. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 161.

24V826000 · Latches/Locks/Linkages:Hood:Latch | Structure:Body:Hood:Hinge And Attachments

Reported: 2024-11-01 (November 1, 2024)

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Sightseer, Itasca Sunova, 2016-2025 Forza, Vista, and Itasca/Winnebago Sunstar, 2015-2025 Adventurer, 2015-2024 Commercial Vehicle, 2015-2028 Itasca Suncruiser, and 2016-2017 Itasca Solei recreational vehicles. The hood bracket adhesive may have been incorrectly applied which can allow the bracket to detach.

Consequence: A detached hood bracket may become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters began being mailed January 31, 2025. Owners may contact Winnebago at 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 192.

26V177000 · Exterior Lighting:Turn Signal

Reported: 2026-03-23 (March 23, 2026)

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2017 Brave, 2019 Itasca Sunova, 2019-2022 Adventurer, and 2022 Sunstar motorhomes. The front turn signals may have a smaller than required luminous lens area. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: A small lens can make it difficult for other drivers to see the turn signal, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the turn signals, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 8, 2026. Owners may contact Winnebago Customer Care at 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 203.

Failure ABS, Advanced Trac and Cruise Control. Available for inspection. Braking and Trac control safety. Confirmed by McRee Ford Dickenson, TX. Only inspected by Ford Dealer. Dash lights came on and cruise control loss a couple of hundred miles after we left the dealership. Dealer replaced sensor. Everything working until we hit a rough road and all of the above stopped working. This is not a new problem, if you read the Ford Forums, is not addressing.

We are continually getting "AdvanceTrac" warning lights on the dash. We have been unable to find a Ford dealer to work on this issue. The light normally goes away after shutting off the vehicle and restarting. However, when this light comes on, the cruise control shuts off and is inoperable until the warning light resets. We believe that the traction control system is inoperable while this light is on.

The latch and hinge for the engine inspection door on the front of the vehicle fell off. The assembly was glued on the body and the glue/adhesive failed and the assembly fell off and lost. This has been reports before on similar Winnebago units and it certainly represents a safety issue.

The epoxy that attaches the hood brackets and the grill to the body is failing. Both hood brackets have come loose, the bracket on the passenger side came loose and fell off of the motorhome on the road and the driver side bracket came off and I noticed it before it fell completely off. Two of the grill brackets are now loose also.

While driving up on the leveling blocks, 9 of them shattered. Hard plastic pieces of the blocks became shrapnel that flew across the driveway. Had I been standing where I normally do, I would have been hit by the shrapnel and suffered injury. When I tried to contact Amazon for a refund, I noticed numerous photos of broken blocks in many of their reviews. I contacted the company in July, August, and again in October to no avail. Finally, last week, I received an email from their representative, Chris Phillips, who at first told me that we had u…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
