AT 12,000 MILES TRANSMISSION JAMMED WHILE DOWNSHIFTING. A LOUD BANG AND IT SHIFTED OK, BUT MADE NOISE. TO DEALER 8/06 WHO PERFORMED TEAR DOWN. FOUND SYNCRO DOGS BROKEN OFF SECOND GEAR, THE BROKEN PARTS DESTROYED 3RD 4TH & MAIN SHAFT. POLARIS DENIED ANY ISSUES WITH THE BIKES & REFUSED GOODWILL ASSISTANCE. PAID $2400.00 FOR REPAIR. WHILE SEARCHING INTERNET...(THEVMC.COM) FOUND THERE WERE OTHER ISSUES WITH THIS TRANSMISSION & ONE CASE OF A LOCKED TRANS AT 30 MPH. *JB

AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC EXAMINED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE IN THE FUSE CIRCUIT WHICH WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE REPLACEMENT, THE PROBLEM RECURRED 3 TIMES.
