While RV was parked for approximately10 hours along the beach in Newfoundland, Canada RV caught fire and burned to the ground. We were asleep, when we were awakened by a popping sound. When we opened our eyes, the RV was already filled with smoke. We did not hear the smoke alarm or carbon monoxide go off. We escaped at the nick of time. I knocked on the van of a neighboring boondocker for help. She called the fire department. But when the fire truck arrived, the RV was already engulfed in flames. We went to bed almost at 12 midnight, the f…

This note relates to the Winnebago construction of the vehicle. The grey tank, which can hold up to 20 gallons of water, came out of its fitting under the chassis, as shown in one picture. As shown in another image, the grey tank support has come out of its fitting under the chassis. The final picture shows the lack of support provided by the thin and rusting support bar. We were lucky to have noticed the grey tank falling down while stopped. If this had fallen down at highway speeds, there's no telling what injuries and damages may have occu…

THE VEHICLE IS A WINNEBAGO SOLIS (CLASS B RV) THAT'S BUILT ON THE DODGE RAM CHASSIS. WE ARE EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE SEAT BELTS, AS ARE SEVERAL OTHER OWNERS I KNOW WHO OWN THE SAME MODEL RV. WINNEBAGO HAS ADDED TWO BENCH SEATS WITH 3-POINT SEAT BELTS. THE SEATS ARE MADE BY A COMPANY CALLED FREEDMAN. IN OUR CASE, WHEN THE VEHICLE IS ON A SLOPE, THE SEAT BELTS FOR THE FREEDMAN BENCH SEAT BECOME STUCK AND CANNOT BE PULLED OUT, SO THE PASSENGER CANNOT BUCKLE IN. WE HAD THE ENTIRE SEAT BELT WITH BUCKLE/HOUSING REPLACED BY A BODY SHOP WITH…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
