Awning fabric separated and caused awning to collapse downward. If a vehicle or pedestrian had been next to the RV during this collapse fabric separation someone could have been killed or seriously injured. I am a law enforcement officer and have inspected the failure of the fabric awning. We purchased the RV new and drive about 350 miles to pick it up. Per the original dealer when we arrived, there was an NHTSA recall on the RV for the wheel assembly and they didn't realize it until that morning after I had already driven 6 hours and paid for a hotel for the night. They said the manufacturer said it would be OK for me to tow the vehicle back to where we live and have the recall completed by a local dealer. At a rest stop we noticed that the rear most axle of the 3 axles on the trailer was almost completely disconnected. The rear bolts holding the leaf spring are missing and one of the driver side U bolts is missing. The other u bolt was hanging from the axle and disconnected completely from the leaf spring. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
