Reported: 2023-10-19 (October 19, 2023)

Alliance RV, LLC is recalling certain 2021-2023 Paradigm and Valor fifth wheel trailers. A wire connector from the solar panel ports to the solar charge lines may loosen.

Consequence: A loose solar panel electrical connection could overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the existing wire nut with a new connector, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 15, 2023. Owners may contact Alliance customer service at 1-574-218-7165.

Awning fabric separated and caused awning to collapse downward. If a vehicle or pedestrian had been next to the RV during this collapse fabric separation someone could have been killed or seriously injured. I am a law enforcement officer and have inspected the failure of the fabric awning. It is a serious hazard to the motoring public that was obviously not addressed fully by the previous recall because it is still happening. FDOT is also going to be notified of this potentially serious roadway hazard that has not been sufficiently addressed by…

We purchased the RV new and drive about 350 miles to pick it up. Per the original dealer when we arrived, there was an NHTSA recall on the RV for the wheel assembly and they didn't realize it until that morning after I had already driven 6 hours and paid for a hotel for the night. They said the manufacturer said it would be OK for me to tow the vehicle back to where we live and have the recall completed by a local dealer. The only local dealer for this manufacturer was Bish's in Meridian ID. I called them the day after we purchased the RV and t…

On Sunday, May 21st, my daughter and I were napping when they woke up to toxic smell, smelt like something electrical burning, we exited the trailer immediately. Waited for the trailer to air out some and searched down the area (the under compartment assessable from the outside of the trailer, under the master bedroom area. We saw smoke coming from a box/plate. It said transfer switch on the metal box plate. We took the plate lid off and saw melted plastic, wires arcing, and missing screws. This complaint concerns the structural frame and chassis assembly of this fifth-wheel trailer, specifically the upper deck/front bedroom area and supporting structure. While operating the trailer within the manufacturer's published weight limits (GVWR: 20,000 lbs; Cargo Carrying Capacity: 4,258 lbs), we experienced repeated structural movement and frame flex during normal highway towing. Over time, the condition progressively worsened and resulted in movement of the upper deck structure, shifting and separation of interior walls and trim, door…

At a rest stop we noticed that the rear most axle of the 3 axles on the trailer was almost completely disconnected. The rear bolts holding the leaf spring are missing and one of the driver side U bolts is missing. The other u bolt was hanging from the axle and disconnected completely from the leaf spring. Nobody was injured and minimal damage was done to the rv.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
