The motorcycle overheats to temperatures in excess of 250°f after being stuck in traffick for less than 10 minutes. the amount of heat under the gas tank is pretty scary. The warning lights go on but in order to avoid being burned you need to pull over and get off the motorcycle. Its a brand new $26,000 motorcycle with apparently a known issue with the radiator as well as the mix of fluid in the radiator. That's according to the dealer although i'm not getting straight answers from the Aprilia's headquarters in North America located in NY…

THE MOTORCYCLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY SO IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, THEY REPLACED PARTS AND STARTED THE MOTORCYCLE. Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
