On December 2, 2025 I was driving on interstate 26, and warning lights came on, at the same time steering locked up and was I unable to steer. I did manage to slowly leave right lane, about 200 yards, and enter shoulder. I turned off and restarted many times and finally the steering unlocked. In Sept. car was brought to dealer. They could not find anything wrong. Since the incident, other warning lights keep coming on but steering not affected.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.

On Monday December 4, 2023, at about 1:30pm, it was a normal sunny day, I was headed eastbound on [XXX] . I was coming to a stop at the intersection of Airport Rd. I was in the turn lane to go north on Airport Rd. No one was in front of me. As I was almost stopped, only going one or two mph, the car suddenly lurched forward. Since my right foot was already on the brake I quickly pushed the brake down with full force and was able to stop the car. If there had been another car in front of me, or a person crossing the intersection I would of hit t…

I HAD TO REPLACE THE WHOLE LEFT SIDE OF THE EXHAUST BECAUSE IT WAS MAKING A LOUD RATTLING NOISE WHEN THE CAR IS ON. THERE IS A SOME SORT OF FLAP IN THERE THAT BECOMES LOOSE AND IT IS NOT POSSIBLE JUST TO REPLACE THAT FLAP SO THE WHOLE EXHAUST HAD TO BE REPLACED ON THE LEFT SIDE AT A COST OF $2,000. THE BENTLEY SERVICE MECHANIC SAID THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM FOR A BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT MADE BEFORE 2009 AND THAT I SHOULD REPLACE THE RIGHT SIDE EXHAUST NOW BECAUSE THE SAME RATTLING WILL START ON THE RIGHT SIDE AS WELL. I DIDN'T SPEND THE…
