Passenger restraint system malfunction just came out of the blue. In the morning it was fine, in the afternoon when I went out to my car it threw this error. Other cars in the 5 and X series with the sport seats I have were also recalled for this same issue, but there is no recall for my car. Please help!

Had a passenger restraint system malfunction error warning light. Took the car to the dealer for service and they replaced the air bag repair wiring harness from the ACSM (air bag control unit) control module to both knee air bags. This did not fix the error, so they then replaced the air bag control unit. Error message is now not present. Dealer stated air bags would not deploy unless I had the repairs done, yet they stated that this safety issue was not covered by my warranty. Car is 2019 model with less than 20,000 miles.

The car has the fast wireless charging tray. I've attached a picture. The case for my phone has a small metal piece on the case. Its a regular case from Amazon. The wireless charger works fine, but it's also heating the metal phone cases to the point where it starts a small fire. Its a huge fire risk if you're not careful. We tried another case and we had the same problem.

THE CHROME TRIM UNDER THE DISPLAY SCREEN REFLECTS THE SUN CAUSING A GLARE THAT REFLECTS BACK INTO THE DRIVER'S EYES AND ALSO MAKES THE SCREEN ABOVE IT VIRTUALLY UNREADABLE ON SUNNY DAYS WHEN DRIVING EAST, NE OR SE. OF COURSE, THE POSITION OF THE SUN DEPENDS ON LOCATION, TIME OF DAY AND SEASON. IN MY CASE THE GLARE REFLECTING OFF THE CHROME TRIM IS MOST PROMINENT WHEN DRIVING EAST ON A SUNNY DAY BETWEEN 10:00 AM AND 2:00 PM IN THE DETROIT AREA DURING SUMMER MONTHS.

Several 2023 BMW models now feature a new infotainment system called iDrive 8. This new iDrive 8 contains a crucial bug that I believe affects the safety of the driver. This new infotainment system randomly loses the car’s exact GPS location, which makes the car think it’s somewhere else. The location marker just slowly drifts away from its real coordinates to nearby roads for example, without any warning or indication. The problem occurs randomly with no identifiable pattern. When connected to Apple Carplay, the iPhone uses the car’s location…

I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM SCHOOL, ABOUT 30-35 MPH WHEN I HIT A POT HOLE. THE SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I WAS RIDING ALONE & NOTHING WAS IN THE SEAT. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE SHOP & THAT WAS WHEN THE MAN WHO LOOKED AT THE CAR SAID THAT IT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT UNLESS SOMEONE WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT. ALSO, MY CAR ONE DAY JUST WOULDN'T UNLOCK OR IT WOULD START NOT LOCKING USING THE REMOTE. I USED THE KEY AND SOMETIMES IT WOULD WORK. IT WENT BACK TO NORMAL AFTER NOT TOUCHING IT FOR A FEW DAYS. MONTHS AFTER, IT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN. ID BE LOCKED OUT…

I'VE REPLACED THE WINDOW REGULATORS IN MY CAR SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO THE MATERIAL BEING CHEAP. THE GEARS WEAR OUT AND/OR BREAK APART. EACH TIME IT'S BETWEEN $150 AND $300 TO REPAIR. THE WINDOW STOPS HALF-WAY DOWN AND CAN'T BE MOVED. THIS PRESENTS ISSUES WITH SAFETY DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER AND MAKES IT VERY EASY TO GET INTO THE CAR TO TAKE VALUABLES AND POTENTIALLY STEAL THE VEHICLE. *TR

THERE IS A CURRENT RECALL FOR 2002-2005 BMW (VARIOUS MODELS) REGARDING THE REAR LIGHTS. WE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS IN OUR 2001 330I. THE RIGHT REAR TAIL LIGHTS DO NOT WORK AND THE TURN SIGNAL BLINKS AND THE TURN SIGNAL SOUND IS TWICE AS FAST AS NORMAL. I AM WRITING TO MAKE YOUR DEPARTMENT AWARE THAT THE MODEL YEARS SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE THE 2001 BMW 330I. *TR

I JUST BOUGHT MY 2001 330I BMW TWO MONTHS AGO WITH 103,000 MILES ON IT. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE DEALER SAYS I NEED A NEW TORQUE CONVERTER. THEY WANT $2000 TO PUT A NEW ONE IN. I THEN LOOKED AROUND HERE AND SAW THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. ALSO I HAD TO CHANGE TWO OF THE WINDOW REGULATORS. - ANOTHER COMMON PROBLEM WITH BMW. IS BMW DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS? WHY DOES BMW MAKE THE PUBLIC PAY FOR THE PROBLEMS THEY MADE? *TR

NO WARNING LIGHT. PUT IN REVERSE AND I HEARD A POP NOISE. I THOUGHT MY STUFF WAS MOVING IN TRUNK. PUT IN GEAR AND DROVE. WHEN I CAME TO FULL STOP AND TRY TO REVERSE. IT DOESN'T WORK. MORE LIKE REVERSE WAS IN NEUTRAL. ALL OTHER GEAR IS FINE EXCEPT REVERSE. I HAVE A BMW 330I SEDAN, 2001 3L. I TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY CAR. I BEEN DRIVING ON AND OFF WITH THIS CAR FOR 4 YEARS SINCE GAS IS EXPENSIVE. NOW IT COMPLETELY DIED. THEY SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON FAULTY TRANSMISSION. I HEARD SEPTONIC TRANSMISSION ARE MADE BY GM. *TR

I DRIVE A 2001 BMW 330I. IT STALLED ON ME A FEW TIMES ALREADY. ONE TIME, I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN AND IT STALLED ON ME WHILE THE CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN. ALSO, SOMETIMES THE ACCELERATOR HESITATES ON ME, AND IT HAPPENED TWICE WHEN I WAS CROSSING AN INTERSECTION AND ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF IT. *LA

ENGINE STALLS ON A FEW OCCASIONS WHEN VEHICLE WAS TURNING LEFT AT LOW SPEED, CAUSING TEMPORARY LOSS OF POWER STEERING. WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY RE-START THE ENGINE EVERY TIME BUT COULD HAVE CAUSED CRASH OTHERWISE. THIS OCCURRED MORE FREQUENTLY AFTER 2008 (AND AFTER 60K MILES), BOTH AT LOW SPEED ON LOCAL ROADS AND AT 45 ~ 55 MPH ON HIGHWAYS, SUMMER OR WINTER CONDITIONS, WITH OR WITHOUT AC TURNED ON. OCCURRENCES ARE INFREQUENT AND UNPREDICTABLE. REPORTED TO MY BMW DEALER SEVERAL TIMES BUT DEALER WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND UNABLE TO D…
