I believe the issue involved Super Cruise, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking systems. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and available for inspection. It has been there since 6/22/25 because the brakes and rotors are on backorder. While driving on the highway in the middle lane on a Sunday afternoon, I activated adaptive cruise after the vehicle had been parked for over 2 hours. After driving seven miles, the car suddenly jolted to a stop in the middle lane, as if we had been hit. We hadn’t, but cars were forced …
While driving home from work using SuperCruise, I almost died! Luckily I was paying attention that's why I'm here to give this testimony. I could have been doing this from another realm if my guardian angel wasn't watching over me. So there I was just using my SuperCruise doing 70mph. There was no traffic clear skies mid afternoon. Now I was using Google maps which is integrated into the infotainment system or so I thought. While coming up on an intersection/exit/merger Google maps showed red traffic at that merger (which is probably the reaso…
Completely lost power because battery ran out, and since Cadillac only provided a digital owner's manual, not a printed one, it could only be accessed if the vehicle had power. We were stranded in an area without cell service and could not consult a manual to determine what to do. Cadillac's own website throws an error when trying to access the digital PDF at https://www.cadillac.com/support/vehicle/manuals-guides. This is a safety issue, not merely convenience.
Vehicle displayed a 'Lithium Ion Battery – Schedule Service Now' warning within approximately one month of delivery. Dealership service records later obtained by our attorney show the identical diagnostic condition was already present and was cleared via a system reset on the date of delivery, October 23, 2025, without disclosure to us. The defect was 'repaired' in December 2025 (diagnostic code P13FB, coolant control valve replacement) but recurred in May 2026, with the warning consistently reappearing whenever ambient temperature rose above a…

The glare from the dash to the windshield on occasion is so severe that it is impossible to see/avoid a pedestrian or other vehicle close in front of you. This is a major safety issue.
They delivered a new car with the carpet behind the drivers pedals sticking up and out. I brought it to the dealership and they stated that this model is delivered that way. That seemed unbelievable, so I contacted Cadillac national. They just called the dealership and asked them if they repaired it, which they said they did. They did not.

I am filing a complaint regarding a GM Ultium Home EV Charging Station that failed while still under warranty. GM acknowledged the failure and sent a replacement, but the replacement was not equivalent to the original product. My original charger was a plug in model, but GM sent a hard wired model, which requires professional installation costing approximately $450. GM stated they no longer manufacture the plug in version and refused to provide an equivalent replacement or cover the installation cost. I contacted the GM EV Concierge (Case # 95…

Silver dash covering immediately behind the instrument cluster is highly sun reflective affecting driving vision. The dash material should be black in color.
I have observed significant glare from the dashboard reflecting onto the windshield, especially during daylight driving and when sunlight hits at certain angles. The reflection obstructs the driver’s forward visibility, making it difficult to see the road clearly and creating a potential safety hazard. This issue occurs regularly in sunny conditions and has not been resolved by adjusting seating position, cleaning the windshield, or using polarized sunglasses. I believe this glare presents a visibility defect that increases the risk of an acci…

Light colored grill on dash behind the display reflects sunlight badly onto the windshield and impairs driving vision. Should be a mat-black color. Problem is present on all 2026 Vistiq cars.

This happens every single time I use SuperCruise when driving back from work. Luckily I caught it the first time it happened so I'm alert now. While hitting a curve to the right to enter a freeway leaving from another freeway, SuperCruise abruptly disengaged going 55mph almost running me into the wall! Yes lights flashed and the seats vibrate but there were no early warning signs and if I hadn't taken control immediately I'll be in a coffin right now. Again it's an on going problem, I'm sure, or I hope somebody has reported this by now but th…

The shiny plastic piece behind dash screen & the back of the dash screen itself create a reflection in the windshield through the entire drivers side of the car. It seems both distracting and dangerous as with any amount of sunlight you are essentially always looking through that glare to see the road.

I leased a new 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ on XXX. The vehicle had approximately 960 miles when the incident occurred. After DC fast charging at a Tesla Supercharger in Las Vegas, NV, the charging session did not complete normally. Shortly afterward, the vehicle displayed a “Reduced Acceleration – Drive with Care” warning message and vehicle performance was significantly reduced. The air conditioning also stopped cooling properly while outside temperatures exceeded 100°F. Because vehicle acceleration was limited and the warning indicated reduced pro…
My 2026 Cadillac Vistiq is covered by NHTSA Recall 26V394 (GM N262555780), concerning a third-row power-folding seatback that may fail to auto-reverse when it strikes an obstruction, risking entrapment of smaller occupants, particularly children. Component: the third-row power-fold seatback module and its power harness. Available for inspection on request. On [DATE], an authorized Cadillac dealer performed the interim recall remedy by disconnecting the power harness under the cargo floor trim. The Vistiq third row is power-actuated only, with…
I have gotten 7 recall letters from them and also 3 phone calls and have tried numerous times to take the car in to get fixed but everytime im told by Beverly Hills Cadilac that they dont have the part yet.

This complaint concerns the manufacturer's conduct of this recall, not the existence of the defect. A safety recall was issued for 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ vehicles for a third-row power seatback that may fail to reverse when it encounters an occupant. The manufacturer's original filing with this agency stated the remedy as replacement of the folding third-row seat module, and stated that disabling the feature was an option only for dealership inventory vehicles and for owners who chose it. That filing also stated that once replacement parts becam…
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
