When using ADAS, the vehicle brake does not remain engaged after the vehicle is stopped, resulting in uncommanded rollback when the car autonomously stops in traffic on a hill. This occurred repeatedly without warning, and with ADAS remaining fully engaged and unaware of the rollback until driver intervention. In one instance, uncommanded rollback caused a near-miss where the vehicle was only inches from a collision at the time of driver intervention. This issue will ultimately result in collisions, likely injuries, and possible death.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.

I was returning home in my electric Dodge Charger Daytona from work nearing an intersection when my vehicle's dashboard lit up with multiple warnings and entered "turtle mode" a limited power mode where the car no longer accelerates with the accelerator pedal but instead will slowly increase speed until breaks are applied. After getting the vehicle off the road and restarting the car there were no longer warnings and the accelerator pedal was working again, but I found on the remainder of the drive home that the regenerative breaking did not wo…

I drove to Regal Cinema Hacienda Crossing for a 3:20 PM movie. Upon returning to the car, I noticed extremely slow and inconsistent responses from both the accelerator and the brake, making the vehicle nearly uncontrollable. I decided to drive cautiously toward the Stoneridge Dodge Service Center via [XXX] and exited at [XXX] . At the intersection of [XXX] and [XXX] , I stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, the car failed to move forward despite pressing the accelerator. After several seconds, it suddenly surged forward uncontr…

I purchased this 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona new on March 24, 2026. Shortly after purchase, the vehicle began experiencing repeated serious safety-related electrical and propulsion failures. The most concerning incidents involve sudden loss of propulsion/power while driving. On one occasion, the vehicle lost propulsion while I was traveling on the freeway, leaving me in active traffic unable to accelerate normally and creating a serious risk of a collision. I also experienced an incident involving abnormal/unintended acceleration where I did not…

I was driving on a slower speed road and felt a jerk, my car lurched forward a little and I got a bunch various errors for break regen system, front park sense errors and a few other random faults. The car entered "turtle mode" signified by the turtle icon in my gauge cluster. This is the second time this has randomly happened, the first time happened two weeks prior as I was taking an off ramp off a highway. I have taken this vehicle in for repairs and updates before for unrelated issues but there hasn't been any solid solutions to the other v…

battery pack control module, telematic box module, brake system control module, driver and passenger door latch module, ADAS camera module. I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden, I lost all power (limp mode), a turtle light came on the dash then alot of other lights came on. Then as I'm trying to get off the freeway, I am on my brakes and it sounds like I was throttling and the power was full force. This is definitely a safety issue.

While traveling at 75MPH on the highway, the vehicle shut down. No propulsion at all and the error message "Pull Over Safely - Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" was displayed. Was able to coast to a nearby exit and have the car taken to a dealer for service. Very unnerving at 75MPH and a significant safety hazard to me and other drivers.

We have leased this car since May of 2025. It has been in the Dodge repair shop over a dozen times for the electrical system warning light coming on. It had to be towed tot he dealer twice for it, other times it was drivable to get it there. This car is a complete Lemon and we are trying to get Dodge/Stellantis to pay us or preferably to buy it back and they are stalling. The car is a danger to drive as the forward collision does not warn you or apply the brakes ever as it was supposed to do. The electrical problems continue and this car i…

The vehicle will display any number of warnings and then go into limp mode. The vehicle has been to the dealership 3 times to repair these issues but they have not been able to actually fix anything yet. The scariest aspect was the vehicle going into limp mode, but experiencing continued acceleration while not engaging either the accelerator or the brake pedal.
