Car is an Electric Vehicle. 3 times now, it has been unable to start (bricking) and requires towing to the nearest dealer. When attempting to start the vehicle, it flashes warnings about pulling over immediately and that the electrical system must be shut down. Should this occur while in motion, the brakes will immediately lock and present a hazard to nearby motorists and the driver. This is the 3rd time this issue has occurred, and dealers are unsure of what the fix could be. Numerous warning lights flashed across the screen each time the …

The vehicle will display any number of warnings and then go into limp mode. The vehicle has been to the dealership 3 times to repair these issues but they have not been able to actually fix anything yet. The scariest aspect was the vehicle going into limp mode, but experiencing continued acceleration while not engaging either the accelerator or the brake pedal. I was sitting at an exit from a store waiting to pull out into an intersection. Full foot on the brake, and I know for certain I wasn't accidentally hitting the accelerator because on the first "jump" I checked to make sure. It lurched through the brakes multiple times bucking like a cammed car would. Then threw all these warning lights, turtle icon came up saying speed limited, and the collision lights came on as well as traction control was disabled. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
