Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

15V491000 · Exterior Lighting

Reported: 2015-08-05 (August 5, 2015) · Model years: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016

DRV Suites (DRV) is recalling certain 2014-2015 Tradition, 2014-2016 Full House, 2006-2016 Elite Suites, and 2013-2016 Estates fifth wheel travel trailers. The affected vehicles have front side reflex reflectors located above the maximum height of 60". As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: If the reflector is located outside of the required area, it can reduce the visibility of the vehicle by other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: DRV has notified owners and will provide a new reflector to install in the correct location, free of charge. The recall began July 21, 2017. Owners may contact DRV customer service at 1-260-562-3500. DRV's number for this recall is 99.02.05.

Consequence: A loss of braking capability can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: DRV has notified owners, and dealers will replace the caliper bolts and sleeves using a thread adhesive, free of charge. The recall began on January 11, 2017. Owners may contact DRV customer service at 1-260-562-3500. DRV's number for this recall is 99.02.08.

THE 5TH WHEEL PINBOX IS RIPPING AWAY FROM THE FRAME. NOTICED A LOT OF EXCESSIVE UP AND DOWN MOVEMENT IN THE HITCH WHILE LOWERING WEIGHT OF RV ONTO TRUCK. INSPECTION REVELED THAT THE METAL IS TEARING IN THE AREA I CAN SEE. LIPPERT'S (THE FRAME MANUFACTURE) RESPONSE WAS DUE TO THE AGE (6 YEARS) OF THE RV THEY WOULD DENY FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. DRV HAS NOT ANSWERED MY EMAIL TO THEM.. *TR

WE WERE TRAVELING FROM PENNSYLVANIA TO ARIZONA AND HAD STOPPED FOR THE DAY AT A CAMPGROUND IN NORTHERN ARIZONA. WE HAD JUST UNHOOKED OUR TRUCK FROM THE COACH AND WERE GETTING READY TO PUT OUR SLIDES OUT WHEN THE FRONT OF THE COACH SANK TO THE GROUND. I COULDN'T GET THE HYDRAULICS TO RAISE IT SO I CALLED DRV. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS PROBABLY THE HYDRAULIC PUMP THAT FAILED. WE HAVE OWNED THE UNIT SINCE MAY OF 2015 BUT THEY SAID THAT IT WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
