Owner report 11765606 · 2026-09-20 (September 20, 2026)

Wiring harness passing thru trailer frame to supply 110v and 12v power to slide components (driver side) was not properly protected from vibration and subsequent vibrations damaged the wiring insulation and grounded the wires to the frame of the trailer. Multiple 12v fuses were "blown" and in a span of less than 60 seconds, the trailer filled with enough smoke to prevent safe exit through the door. The wires in the harness affected melted from the outside of the slide up to the breaker panel, melting through the insulting pad on the bottom of…

Lionshead castle rock ST225/75 R15 passenger side front tandem axle tire blew on our 2021 forest rive east to west alta travel trailer while traveling in the middle lane on interstate 95 in Florida, 45 minutes into our trip. There was nothing in the road, all proper maintenance has been conducted including tire checks and with proper air pressure maintenance prior to each trip. When the tire blew we heard a loud sound and immediately changed lanes and pulled off onto the shoulder. The t…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
