On [XXX], after arriving at our campground in Tok, Alaska, the main entry-door latch/handle on our 2023 Fleetwood Bounder motorhome failed completely. I parked the motorhome in front of the campground office. When I attempted to open the main entry door by lifting the door handle, the handle broke off and came completely into my hand. The door would no longer open. There were four people inside the motorhome, and none of us could open the main entry door. We were effectively trapped inside the RV through the primary entrance. Because we coul…

WE PURCHASED A 2018 BOUNDER 33C IN FEBRUARY OF 2018. THIS VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING. AFTER PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE, WE LEARNED THE SUSPENSION WAS NOT ADEQUATE FOR THE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT AND THE HIGH CENTER OF GRAVITY WHEN MOVING, GIVING US THE FEELING THAT IT WOULD TIP OVER WHEN ROUNDING CURVES AND ON LOCAL ROADS WHERE IT WOULD ROCK BACK AND FORTH, TO THE EXTENT THAT WHEN MY WIFE FOLLOWED ME TO THE REPAIR SHOP, SHE WAS GREATLY CONCERNED ABOUT THE ROCKING BACK AND FORTH AND SAID SHE WAS WAITING FOR THE TIRES TO LIFT OF…

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V731000 (Suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the nearest dealers were located nearly 200 to 300 miles away, which would require the contact to drive the RV over mountains to reach dealers. Additionally, the dealers refused to service any RVs. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.…

Since new 14,500 miles ago when hitting road bumps or at speeds between 73-76 MPH the ABS & Traction Control lights come on. This causes lose of Anti-Lock Braking, Cruise Control, Hill Start Protection, & Stability Control. It has been back to Ford 5 times & not fixed. It was last to Rush Truck Center who replaced a damaged Tone Ring & Wheel Speed Sensor. Mine was the third one repaired in 2 weeks & all on the right rear. I just completed a 5,300 mile road trip & every day had these lights come on multiple times which required stopping shutting…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

One of the HEHR windows blew off of the motorhome while driving down I-5 in California. The window shattered. (Fortunately it did not hit the motorhome driving behind us, and fortunately we were in the right lane so it didn't hit anyone else.) We had to go two and a half months driving with no window in that place (the bedroom) - we, of course, blocked it with styrofoam, etc and good old duct tape for the rest of our trip. We checked the rest out upon stopping and there is another one that was pulling off enough that we duct-taped that all ti…

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FLEETWOOD BOUNDER. UPON TURNING THE KEY, THE STARTER CRANKED BUT THERE WAS NO POWER TO THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF HAVING THE VEHICLE TOWED WHEN IT WAS NOTICED THAT THERE WAS EXCESSIVE FUEL LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT SQUIRRELS CHEWED THE FUEL LINES AND FURTHER TESTING WAS REQUIRED TO DETERMINE IF THEY COULD PROVIDE A SOLUTION TO PREVENT THE FAILURE. THE DEALER MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE MAY HAVE IMPACTED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND THE ENG…

I AM THE OWNER OF A 2015 FLEETWOOD BOUNDER 35K. I'VE ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM WITH THE EMERGENCY EGRESS WINDOWS (2 OF 3) IN THE COACH, WHERE THE METAL CLOSING MECHANISM DETACHES FROM THE WINDOW GLASS. THE WINDOWS ARE MANUFACTURED BY HEHR AND INSTALLED ON NUMEROUS FLEETWOOD RV PRODUCTS. ONCE DETACHED, THE WINDOW MUST BE TAPED SHUT TO PREVENT WATER INGRESS INTO THE COACH, ELIMINATING THE USE OF THE EGRESS WINDOW FOR ITS INTENDED EMERGENCY EXIT FUNCTION. THIS IS THE ONLY SOLUTION, PENDING SOME TYPE OF REPAIR. I'VE MADE NUMEROUS CALLS TO VARIOUS A…
