What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? When the brakes were applied, the vehicle accelerated instead of slowing down/stopping. The vehicle is available for inspection and we are begging for someone to investigate this as we do not want to get behind the wheel of this truck if the issue is determined and rectified. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Because of the above issue, the car accelerated and crashed into a building putting the driver and passenger at risk…

Now waiting for a tow to the dealer, they were supposed to correct this when I took it in the last time it happened but didn't. There are a lot of online complaints IRT this issue with the powerboost 150 and other 150s. Mine was made at the Dearborn plant. Huge safety issue and it needs to be addressed

1. Transmission. Stays in higher gears at stops. When starting out it barely moves in response to gas pedal increase. At about 3,000 RPMs it engages and jerks violently ahead. After this happened several times I noticed the transmission gear light was in a higher gear at stop, like 7th gear. Therefore the motor had to rev up to 7th gear speed before it would move adequately. Has to be hard on the transmission when this happens, also embarrassing and very dangerous should you have to cross a busy roadway quickly. It also downshifts suddenly all …

Subsequent visits and followup with dealership have been unsuccessful in the fix. During this time I almost ran over my grand daughter when backing up with no rear view camera. Very dangerous. Also any components relying on the rear view camera are also disabled. I beleive Ford has a concern in fixing this problem. It could result in a serious accident with pedistrian.

Vehicle demonstrates an intermittent lag during acceleration, particularly during throttle position changes. Typical throttle response is appx 0.5s as measured by stopwatch. When the issue is replicated the delay can exceed 1 second. This is most concerning during situations where moderate to brisk acceleration is needed at a specific time such as turning across traffic at an intersection or merging with traffic flow with a large speed disparity from one lane to the other. Vehicle has been taken to multiple Ford dealerships multiple times.…

On Friday, June 12, 2026, the check engine light illuminated on my vehicle. I took it to my local Ford dealer on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The dealer diagnosed the issue as a defective Gear Shift Module (GSM) and quoted approximately $1,000 for replacement. The service advisor informed me that failure to repair this component could result in the vehicle becoming unable to shift into Park or unable to shift out of Park. This defect poses a serious safety risk, as it could prevent the truck from being properly secured when parked, potentially allo…
