Owner report 11527707 · 2023-06-19 (June 19, 2023)

After backing out of the driveway, our Mach-e started accelerating without putting my foot on the accelerator. Car literally was just getting faster and faster without me doing anything. When I did press the accelerator after the stop sign to the entrance to our neighborhood, nothing happened and the car just rolled forward. Took my foot off the right pedal and it started accelerating again. Got out to the main road, had to pull over, and rode the brake back home. In short, the car accelerates without pressing the accelerator.

The vehicle regularly, and at random times, will drop out of the chosen drive setting and go to the default "Engage" mid-level setting. This changes the driving dynamics, such as pedal pressure required to move the car, and the sensitivity of the steering. If the driver was in "Unbridle", for example, the car will immediately lose speed and steering sensitivity, while if the driver was in "Whisper", the car will lurch forward. This has happened at city speeds, highway speeds, and even while at a stop in a line of cars. The stop is especially da…

Completely locked out of car without any access. No way of unlocking car. I tried via key fob, key pad, approach, mobile app. The locks are completely electronic, so no way to mechanically unlock. Had to call a tow truck to tow it to the dealership where I bought it just a couple weeks earlier. 2 days earlier, an OTA update was installed that was labeled as improving battery optimization. This seems to be what triggered the issue. Many owners of 2023 and 2024 Mustang Mach E's are experiencing the same issue.

It is supposed to charge at 7KWh but it drops 3Khw after few minutes charge. I switched to new Ford mobile charge, but it is faulty, too. Ford says its overheating issue but it happens during the winter season, too. I am concerning it might have faulty electric design and cause the fire at home. There was a message " Motor coolant over temperature '' popped up on 05/21/2026. Sent the car to Ford dealership for diagnosing it .Found out there was a big hole on the Motor casing . Told them, there was a crash on 04/14/2026. After diagnosing ,they did not know what caused the issue. We resubmitted the case to AAA insurance company for the sub-claim, they told me that the issue was not related to the previous crash . We recently brough the Mach E in for a recall of the rear camera. We mention the front camera alerts. They said due to safety concerns, sometime when the back camera goes out it affects all cameras. When we picked up the car, they told use that the front camera, which controls active cruise control, self-driving and emergency stopping is not covered under the recall. How can this not be a safety issue. The cost to fix it is over $4000. Please let me know if there are any upcoming recalls. Thanks!

How can this not be a safety issue. The cost to fix it is over $4000. Please let me know if there are any upcoming recalls. Thanks!
