On [XXX] while on vacation out of state with my family our 2023 GMC Yukon XL Denali stalled out on [XXX]. After safely navigating through 5 o'clock traffic just outside of Atlanta, the vehicle would not turn over or even attempt to start back up. We contacted onstar for assistance and was advised to stay with the vehicle while they dispatched a tow truck. After approximately 2 hours we contacted onstar again and was advised a tow truck wouldn't be available until morning. We then were able to obtain a ride with Lyft that totaled over $100 with …

The engine completely failed without warning. The vehicle stalled and would not restart. I was unable to put the Yukon in neutral in order to move it out of the way of traffic. As I was in the process of turning I was completely blocking oncoming traffic. When the vehicle was finally towed to the dealership they told me that there was no oil in the engine. I had checked the oil 2 days prior and the dipstick showed full. We had no leaks in the driveway and no low oil indicator came on to warn us. A dealership in Holland Michigan had just looked …

I recently purchased my vehicle and after already transporting my family of 5, including my newborn child for several days, I noticed that my parking sensors were not working and I began receiving a message of my dash that parking assist, rear braking and auto park assist were unavailable. Owner report 11564278 · 2024-01-08 (January 8, 2024)

When driving in a parking lot, due to the design of the cruise control set switch, it is very easy to unintentionally set the adaptive cruise control. Specifically, when maneuvering in a parking lot at low speeds (below 5mph) and allowing the wheel to return to center by spinning in your hands, the cruise control switch which is a dial/lever that sticks out beyond the surface of the wheel, catches on your hand and engages the cruise. This sets the cruise control target speed to a 15 MPH even if you are currently going slower than that. The vehi…

We had no choice but to have it towed to McKenzie GMC in Milton, Florida. After several days of waiting, we were told we now “need another engine.” Yes, another engine. This is completely unacceptable. This same vehicle already had its engine replaced in 2025 under recall 25V274000. The torque converter is too small for the vehicles transmission which then caused it to break and put metal into the transmission fluid. Which cause the transmission to break. My safety was at risk was because while on highway it shot high on RPMs and then made funny noise and wouldn’t go. We purchased the 2025 GMC Yukon XL on February 26, 2025. While I was heading out on March 24, 2025 I had a total engine failure. No warning sign or warning lamps were present. We had the vehicle towed to Hurd Auto Mall in Johnston Rhode Island where we purchased it. We were told that the engine had seized with only 1,488 miles on it. We saw that over 870,000 GMC engines from 2021-2024 had this same issue and/or have been recalled. We are curious if the 2025 model also have this problem.

I was driving 30 mph when the car went into neutral and rolled to a stop. When I put on the brakes the engine shut off and it went into park. It would not restart or shift out of park . I was stuck in an active busy road. The car was towed to the dealer. They said it was a problem with the BCM. GMC had put out a bullletin which was to reprogram the BCM. My concern is that if this had happened on a busy interstate in traffic at highway speeds the results could have been fatal.

The torque converter is too small for the vehicles transmission which then caused it to break and put metal into the transmission fluid. Which cause the transmission to break. My safety was at risk was because while on highway it shot high on RPMs and then made funny noise and wouldn’t go.

I was involved in a traffic collision. A large vehicle turned left in front of me and I t boned that vehicle. We were traveling about 30-35 MPH at the moment of impact. My vehicle sustained major damage ($20,000+) to repair according to the body shop. My wife, daughter and myself sustained injuries. My wife and I have significant injuries. I truly believe, based on vehicle damages, and injuries that our airbags should’ve deployed. I believe it has a fault sensor that should be inspected.

The vehicle underwent a recall inspection on September 8, but on October 2, the vehicle still experienced a serious engine failure. The vehicle was undrivable, and the dealer inspected it and opened a TCA case. However, General Motors stated that it had passed the recall test and was not covered under special warranty, and asked me to pay $5,000 for vehicle repairs. I believe this is an engine malfunction related to the recall, and the manufacturer should replace the engine for me free of charge and refund my 5,000 .

I had to take there vehicle home and called ONSTAR to tow it to the dealership. I have to pay for the over mileage because I was out of town when it happened.

Catastrophic brake system failure. When leaving my home in Baltimore County, MD, at approx. 10:00am on February 3rd, my vehicle started up normally. As I descended down a hill in our neighborhood the brake system failed and the vehicle would not stop. We finally got it to the dealer and while they were test driving it lost power and they had to have it towed. Now we have been told we are needing a new engine and have not been given any time line. We have also read that many time the solution even on the new engine is not fixing all issues. We just want a safe vehicle returned to us.

Vehicle went to GM for recall repairs on 02/24/25 the morning after when I cranked my car it was dead. There was no warning, no check engine lights etc. The screen went blac…

I own a 2023 GMC Yukon Denali. In Nov. 2023, at about 4,000 miles, the vehicle suffered a complete engine and electrical failure at highway speed while I was traveling with my husband and three small children. We had to guide the vehicle across traffic while coasting downhill to the shoulder beyond a guardrail. Traffic had to avoid us, creating a s…
