FRONT BRAKE LEVER BECAME HARD/STUCK. FRONT BRAKES ARE STUCK OPEN, WILL NOT FUNCTION. NO WARNING OR ABS LIGHTS ACTIVATED. WAS BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY TO START 3 DAY ROAD TRIP, LUCKILY IT OCCURRED AT THE HOUSE AND NOT ON THE HIGHWAY AT SPEED.
I WAS ROLLING MY MOTORCYCLE OUT OF MY GARAGE WHICH ON A STEEP GRADE , WENT TO HIT THE FRONT BRAKE AND THE LEVER WAS FROZEN SOLID, THE VEHICLE ROLLED OUT OF CONTROL TILL IT FLIPPED ON TOP OF ME , CAUSING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN DAMAGE TO THE MOTORCYCLE, AND CAUSING ME ROAD BURN ON MY BACK AND SHOULDERS
AFTER PURCHASING MOTORCYCLE NEW FROM DEALER.. NOTICED THAT STEERING SHAKE / WOBBLE ON DECELERATION BETWEEN SPEEDS OF 30-60 MPH. NOTIFIED DEALER AND FOUND THAT STEERING COMPONENT NUT OF SOME SORT WAS LOOSE AND NEEDED ADJUSTMENT. THIS SEEMED TO HAVE FIXED ISSUE BUT SOON RETURNED WITHIN 1000 MILES. THE MOTORCYCLE CURRENTLY HAS AROUND 4000 MILES AND STILL HAS THIS CONDITION. REPORTED TO DEALER WHERE MOTORCYCLE WAS PURCHASED SEVERAL TIMES AND AFTER FAILURE TO FIX CONDITION CONTACTED ANOTHER DEALER. THIS NUT WAS THEN RE-TIGHTENED BUT SOON SHAKE / WOB…
IF I REMOVE MY HANDS FROM THE HANDLE BARS THE BIKE STEERING WOBBLE VIOLENTLY THIS ALSO HAPPENED AT LOWER SPEEDS 45 MHR. LOST OF CONTROL COMES QUICKLY,YOU KNOW WHAT THE RESULTS COULD BE. *TR
PURCHASED MY 3RD H-D (LAST 17 YRS) ON MAY 2018, WENT BIG... 2018 CVO ROAD GLIDE (117 M8 FLTRXSE), HEARD ALL THE CHATTER BUT BOUGHT IT ANYWAY. 3100 MILES LATER, SUMPED ON A 400 MILE ROAD TRIP, ONE QT LOW, BURNING ODOR, EXTREME HEAT, LOSS OF POWER, 100 MILES ON 6 GALLON TANK OF FUEL... LOCAL DEALER PICKED UP BIKE AT HOTEL, 2 DAYS ON PHONE & EMAILS WITH SUPPORT TECHS, CONCLUSION... VOIDED POWERTRAIN WARRANTY DUE TO UNAPPROVED TUNING. HEARD ALL THE HORROR STORIES... BUT WE'VE BEEN TUNING & ALTERING FOR YEARS, JUST AN EXCUSE TO MOVE ON FROM THE ISSU…

I was doing about 60mph in 4th, not sure that matters but wanted to give all information that I can. No, out of the ordinary sounds and the bike just lost all power. Dash went black and engine was off. When it happened my rear wheel LOCKED completely causing a skidding situation. I was able to keep the bike upright and got the bike to the side of the road. Ignition toggle was still in the run position. I flipped it off waited a minute or so and then flipped back to run, waited about 30 seconds more and restarted the bike. I rode another 50-6…

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
