THE STEERING WHEEL REEL ASSEMBLY MAKES A CLICK SOUND WHICH IS AN IN DICTATION OF INADEQUATE LUBRICATION. THE ASSEMBLY ITSELF CAN NOT BE RELUBRICATED AS THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY IS SEALED. HONDA WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE PASTY THE INCORPORATES THE ASSEMBLY. HOWEVER, TECHNICIANS ARE STATING THAT THIS IS UNNEEDED AND NORMAL PART OF THE CAR. THIS IS IN ACTUALITY, UNTRUE AND CAN BE ULTIMATELY DANGEROUS FOR THE DRIVER.

Civic has just over 5500 miles on it and now traveling at highway speeds in a straight line it is difficult to move the steering wheel and it feels like it is stuck in a rut and requires a tug to get the wheel to turn. This happens at 50+ mph speed and I have tried it with road departure and lane keep off and it still happens. It you keep moving the wheel slightly it won’t do it but when trying to turn slightly after traveling straight for a while it occurs.

Hello, I received a recall notification for my 2019 Honda Civic in May 2024. The recall notice states the fuel pump module may have been an improperly molded impeller. The recall is dated May 2024, I called the Markley Honda dealership in Fort Collins Colorado where I purchased the car and was told they did not have the parts yet. It is now mid October and I have called numerous times including yesterday to be told they still do not have parts. I am very concerned that this has not been fixed in a timely fashion. my car has one recall part . It say :American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is recalling certain 2016-2021 model year Civic vehicles. The fuel pump impeller was improperly moulded, resulting in low density impellers. Over time, the low-density impeller can deform and interfere with the fuel pump body, rendering the fuel pump inoperative. I tried to contact some Honda dealer but they don't have the part to replace Please help me out thank you so much

The steering is "sticky" leading to ever-changing steering effort. At times, so much force has to be applied that overcorrection occurs. It decreases the safety margin when driving and applying corrective steering to prevent lane departure or collision. Luckily, I have not had any accidents occur yet. I have had multiple problems with the AC on my 2019 Honda Civic now for some years. There have been leaks, issues of blowing hot air, replacing of parts, etc. The evaporator was replaced before (warranty extension) and then eventually the Freon 1234 leaked out. I've been told the expansion valve was leaking by one shop, and another tells me the evaporator core has a leak. The dealer wants $2,800 to replace the evap core and recharge the system. This is all maddening. I'm asking if the compressor shaft seals are OK (they say they are, but who kn…

The vehicle's smart entry door handle system was continuously drawing power even when the vehicle was off. This resulted in repeated battery drain and battery replacement (approximately 4 times). The ongoing electrical load also resulted in alternator failure. Once the issue was diagnosed (performed by the dealer), expense was required to resolve the parts. The issue caused repeated no-start conditions and reliability/safety concerns. This took a year to resolve and appears to be a common concern based off online posts. I am submitting this com…

I received a notice from Honda dated "February 2024." The notice states that "the fuel pump module may have an improperly molded impeller. Over time the impeller can deform and cause the fuel pump to become inoperable . . . an inoperable fuel pump could prevent an engine from starting, cause a vehicle to lose drive power, or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury." I am filing a safety complaint regarding an unresolved fuel pump recall on my 2019 Honda Civic. My vehicle became inoperable around October 2025 after passing Pennsylvania state inspection in July 2025. The vehicle is currently not drivable and remains inoperable. A VIN-based recall check confirms an active, unrepaired safety recall related to the fuel pump module (2016–2021 Honda Civic fuel pump impeller defect). This recall warns of potential engine stall or failure to start, increasing crash risk. Despite multiple attempts to schedule rep…

During warming months, especially when driving at highway speeds, the steering becomes "sticky" and creaks when turning the wheel left and right. This issue has been noted in the 11th generation civics with a recall issued, as well as 2016-2018 Civics. The 2019 also suffers from this same issue but no recall has been issued to date. This problem creates an unsafe driving environment where I feel like I could lose control of my vehicle on the highway. I have brought it to the attention of my local dealership many times with no resolve. They sugg…

Steering began to "stick", especially at highway speeds and when trying to keep car centered in lane, causing frequent overcorrection and difficulty maintaining lane control. No warning lights, messages, etc. Dealership confirmed and the diagnosis was that the motor powering electric power steering was faulty and steering rack needed to be replaced. First noticed the issue during summer of 2024, became progressively worse, dealership diagnosed and repaired in May 2025.

I OWN THE 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANS HATCHBACK SPORT. PURCHASED AUG 12, 2019. LAST NIGHT I EXITED THE VEHICLE, WANTING TO KEEP IT RUNNING AND USE HE HEADLIGHTS TO SEE- PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND APPLIED PARKING BRAKE. BRAKE FAILED AND CAR ROLLED ACROSS THE PARKING LOT. I RELIGIOUSLY APPLY THIS BRAKE. I HAVE COME TO THE CAR BEFORE IN SUPERMARKET LOT AND SUCH TO FIND THE BRAKE OFF, BUT CHALKED IT UP TO HAVING ALREADY DISABLED IT MYSELF. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE LAST NIGHT. HUGE SAFETY HAZARD. NEEDS ADDRESSING.

On my way to work my car stalled while being driven. I lost the ability to maintain my speed and my car decelerated to a stop in the lane of traffic. The car would not move forward and would not start after it was turned off. I was stopped in the right lane of traffic on a four lane highway during morning rush-hour traffic. A police officer had to remain behind my car in the lane of traffic with their lights on until a tow truck arrived to prevent an accident. My car could not be moved due to the high rate of speed of the cars traveling around …

I took my car in this morning for a recall. For the fuel pump. It took the dealership very little time to get my car out which was strange for me because originally they told me it would take 4-5 hours. Following the recall I needed gas since I was told to have a little under half a tank. I was on empty following the procedure. While I was pumping gas I had my hand help on the pump. There was not automatic pump enabled. My car keep taking the gas which was weird and then suddenly I saw gas leaking from my fuel point. I stopped the pump instantl…
