This motorcycle is an automatic. On three separate occasions, on three different days, this automatic motorcycle stalled at a stop sign.
Engine stalls at idle or at takeoff (low throttle input) randomly 5 time over 7 weeks, twice caught it in a turn and was able to throttle through. Honda motorcycle is DCT automatic - no manual clutch. may get rear ended, or caught in oncoming traffic when making left or right! Random can't be duplicated I tried for 15 minutes! UNKNOWN Didn't think to look at dash lights to see if traction control intervened and cut power?? However issue may (?) be a result from a left turn from a stop across light road oil strip that caused rear to step ou…
i was riding the motorcycle and the DCT transmission got stuck in 5th gear and would not shift up or down. This is evidently a common issue as i googled dct stuck in gear and all kinds of hits came up. This is very concerning for me as i was riding and could not accelerate or decelerate. I called Honda and they told me that they have never delt with this issue before.

Honda Rebel 1100 motorcycle footrest has too much vibration at 55 to 70 miles/ hour speed. thus after an hour or more makes the feet num. When i took it to the honda dealer they said that the engine will vibrate due to balance problem. this is dangerous. Look at youtube and other facebook sites and most of the Rebel 1100 users are complaining about it. This engine has to be balanced asap to reduce the vibration at 55 to 70 miles/hour that is the normal riding speed in USA. I almost fell down when i tried to stop at the stop sign.

Like most other Honda Rebel CMX 1100 motorcycles, my engine leaks oil. It is coming out where the stator wire goes in. This is fixed by replacing the stator since the wires do not separate. Honda warranty refuses to cover the cost of their failure. There is also a small rubber plug at the bottom of the frame that connects to the motor. This holds the entire motorcycle together. Like most others out there, it is rusted completely inside the frame. I have no way of knowing the extent of the corrosion in my motorcycle frame because the hole is to…
Drive chain guard mount broke off while uninstall chain guard for chain maintenance as specified. Simple small threaded bolt into threaded frame mounted bolt boss. Purpose to secure plastic chain guard. Small part factory welded to major component (swingarm) thus can't be replaced separate of entire swingarm. Fasteners were uninstalled and reinstalled three times with hand tool only hand tightened to snug yet thin metal tab snapped off thus can't install chain guard. A safety component. Two trips to dealer and told have it fixed myself, twice. …
2021 Honda Rebel 1100 is leaking oil from the left side. Near the gasket/stator. Low miles under 2k. I have read about this problem on other 2021 models. Becoming very common issue. Same spot, same leak.

While traveling straight on the interstate (free of debris and potholes) I experienced the death wobble at 75 mph. I was unable to control the bike and entered a curve where I side swiped a concrete barrier. There were only 1,090 miles on the stock tires. No issues with the bike prior to the crash.

NHTSA Safety Complaint , Narrative [XXX] ) Vehicle: 2022 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT Component: Engine , Oil Leak / Stator Cover Incident Date: April 2025 Mileage at Incident: 5,700 NARRATIVE: In late April 2025, I discovered engine oil leaking from the stator cover of my 2022 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT, specifically at the alternator wire grommet where the wires exit the engine case. The bike had been parked after a ride for approximately two days when the leak was noticed on the garage floor. This is a known manufacturing defect affecting the Honda Re…
