I LEASED A BRAND NEW CR-V AND 12 HOURS AFTER I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP IT MALFUNCTIONED. WHILE DRIVING 7 MPH IN MY APARTMENT COMPLEX MY BRAKES AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP CAUSING ME TO BUMP INTO A CONCRETE SIDEWALK BARRIER. NEW VEHICLE WITH APPROX. 3,000 MILES BECAME COMPLETELY DISABLED ON HIGHWAY AND EXPOSED OCCUPANTS TO EXTREME DANGER. DEALERSHIP REPORTED THAT A "FAULTY BRAKE SENSOR" WAS THE CAUSE OF THE VEHICLE BECOMING INOPERABLE. VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN AT 60 MPH AND ENGINE DIED ON AN UNDERPASS TURN BARELY VISIBLE TO TRAFFIC BEHIND AND WAS ALMOST HIT BY A SEMI CRUISING AT 60+ MPH. FAILURE OF ALL SYSTEMS RESULTED AND COULD HAVE KILLED THE HONDA CR-V OCCUPANTS.

For the 2nd time in a span of ~6 months, the 2020 Honda CR-V randomly slowed down/tried to come to an abrupt halt in the middle of the freeway. Terrifying experience both times as it could have easily resulted in being in a fatal collision. I took this to the dealership immediately after the first time it happened but they deemed it as a "phantom issue". This happened again TODAY and I don't know what to do. I did find that I am not alone with this problem via this article. https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/24/business/honda-cr-v-accord-braking-i…

While driving in the freeway at 65mph, car starts to loose power, the accelerator does not respond to the push of the pedal. Even if I press the gas, the car just shows in the dashboard that the car is receiving power but speed lingers in 50mph but it clearly is way below this speed and keeps decreasing even if it shows the 50mph, the car just cruises with it’s own momentum. The hybrid battery depletes completely and warning lights start flashing to check engine. The car will also jerk front to back and the main motor will make a loud noise as …

In the past 4 months car stalled on expressway 3 times. on the first occurrence dealer informed us that no error code were found. Second time repair shop (dealer) found body control module error code and replaced the body control module. On the third occurrence we are waiting for repair assessment. In all three occasions check engine light will blink and pressing accelerator won't give any power to the vehicle. Restarting the engine usually will allow us to drive normally. But in the third occurrence restarting didn't resolve the issue.

I recently noted that the steering wheel “sticks”, requiring a little extra effort in order to perform any slight lane correction and consequently requiring immediate additional correction from the opposite direction. This is very disconcerting especially at high speeds. After doing some online research, I found that the later models of the CRV and many other Hondas and Acuras are being recalled to correct this issue. This car has only 22,000 miles on it. I feel that it should be part of the recall. This is dangerous.

Vehicle is 3,000 miles outside of warranty, and showed no signs of issues. Starting the car, the driver wheel was locked and all systems complaint of failure. The vehicle could start and drive but the driver wheel required all strength to turn. Taking the vehicle to a Honda Dealership they said the problem was a rack and pinion with an estimate of +$5,300 (not including taxes). This seems to be an abnormal type of repair so close out of warranty.

Steering wheel issue: I had a similar issue with my old 22 Civic. Now it's a known and common problem, it's hard to make small adjustments. It may not be related to the speed or the use of LKAS. There is no warning on the dashboard. Brake pedal: Randomly I feel friction on the pedal when I press it. Like the steering wheel issue it starts to happen and disappears. No warning messages. LKAS giving false warnings, especially when going backwards.

Power system problem light started coming on soon after we bought the car new. It has been towed to Barber Honda in Bakersfield many times- it dies, won’t start. It is on the 3rd battery within 1st year. The last incident was 10/23/23 the car suddenly lost all power in an area of mountains- I was stranded without cell phone service, it was dangerous. Finally had it towed again- this time they replaced the fuel pump. We have had a lawyer since 4/4/23 and Honda has refused to do anything to about this car! I am scared to drive it.

In April 2022, my dad purchased a brand new Honda CRV 2022 hybrid touring edition. This car was deemed as one of the safest cars on the market and was his main intent while buying it. My car saw it as a potential collision and suddenly automatically applied full brakes and flashed collision warning on dash board. I almost was rear ended. Luckily I was only going 25mph. I called dealership and talked to service manager Jake. He advised that this is possible in normal operation. There is a disclaimer about this occurring in the owner’s manual. He also said there is no history of warning indicators so there is nothing to check to see if…

I was parking in our apartment's parking lot when I attempted a left turn to pull in front-facing toward the wall. Within seconds, and without understanding how or why, the car continued forward and hit the wall. Initially, I reported to the insurance company that I either didn’t brake or found the brake too late. However, the truth is, I do not clearly remember what happened. My mph had to be low. When the car hit the wall, several emergency systems were triggered: an automatic emergency call was made, collision alerts sounded, and the brake…

I turn off the engine, wait a few minutes, and turn the engine back on, which seems to remedy the problem. At that point, I am able to drive off like nothing happened. I am on a CRV forum and I’m seeing more and more people discuss the same issue! Because there’s no code that comes up, and I am not able to replicate the scenario at the mechanics… There is nothing…

I will put the latest date in additional details below. PLEASE NOTE: This is my second notice of safety concern o…

Yesterday (XXX) while starting my car the warning lights came on notifying me of a potential issue with multiple safety systems including the brake system.  My parking brake would not show that it was released and when put in gear the brakes were very mushy and the vehicle did not feel that it could be driven safely.  I requested Triple AAA to tow the car to the Honda dealership in Lumberton North Carolina this morning (XXX) as I did not feel that it was safe to drive.  A diagnostic test was performed that indicated that the Electric Servo Brak…

Twice, I've been driving down the road, and the emergency braking system has engaged with no car near me. I get thrown against the seatbelt hard enough that it triggers the seatbelt to lock. I'm sure I would have been rear-ended if someone had been behind me. My foot was still on the gas both times it happened. I'm now scared to drive my car because I don't know when it will suddenly break hard and, maybe, hard enough to trigger airbags.

I was pulling into a parking space and to stop but suddenly the vehicle just accelerated forward jumped the curve, straight through some bushes and crashed into a tree. The airbag deployed caused injuries to my right arm, head, chest contusion. Mostly passenger side front and front damages on the vehicle. Police, ambulance, and firefighter came to investigate and to help with my injuries.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE I70 TO GO SKIING WITH 3 PASSENGERS, DURING PORTIONS OF THE ROAD WITH STEEP GRADES, THE CAR WAS UNABLE TO GO THE SPEED LIMIT. DESPITE APPLYING 95 TO 100% POWER, CARS WERE PASSING. THIS IS A NEW CAR AND IS CLEARLY A DESIGN FLAW - AS A HYBRID ONCE THE ASSISTIVE BATTERIES ARE DEPLETED, IT IS ONLY RUNNING ON THE ENGINE - AT ALTITUDE THE ENGINE IS STARVED FOR OXYGEN AND DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH POWER. THIS IS EXTREMELY STRESSFUL ON THE DRIVER AND UNSAFE WHILE IN THE MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN.

This is the second visit to the dealership involving a faulty sensor with the air pressure monitor. Warning light comes on indicates that the vehicle has low tire pressure. Running the risk of over inflating the tires. First time the vehicle was checked and told there was no issue and the tire pressure monitor was reset. Second visit and again the same issue. Told this was reoccurring problems with the Honda system and if it occurs again, just return and the technicians will check it and reset it again. The pattern of the problem occurring with…

On three separate occasions, I was driving on the highway and lost power to accelerate causing a safety issue as I was on a fast-moving highway and had to find an exit or pull over. The three times were September 22, 2022, March 23, 2023 and July 23, 2023. The first time I had it towed to Hennessy Honda in Woodstock, GA. They were unable to determine anything was wrong. The second time, I pulled off the highway, waited 5 minutes and then was able to start and continue to my neighborhood mechanic, Bridgemill Auto Repair in Canton, GA. Again…

MY COMPUTER SYSTEM ALERTED ME TO SYSTEM FAILURES FOR POWER STEERING, BRAKING, AWD, ETC. THE ONLY DAMAGE WAS SCUFFED UP TIRES AND HUBCAPS. AFTER HAVING IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID I WRECKED THE VEHICLE AND THERE WAS NO MALFUNCTION. THEY ALSO SAID THE WHEEL ROD WAS BENT TO A 90 DEGREE ANGLE. I FIND IT VERY CONCERNING THA…

There was no crash, but it is the second time within a month the vehicle stalls on the highway. The engine keeps running gives a loud banging sound. Also, the hybrid batteries are drained quickly to 0. The first-time the car started work again as normal after 1/2-1 hour standing on the side of the highway. The second time we turned the vehicle off/on, and it started to work again. In both cases the 'check engine' light came on. I had intermittent warning lights about the electronic parking brake and steering assist for lane departure. One day I left my house and warning lights came on about brake failure. There were no power brakes and the little braking available was very not good at all. I had the car towed to a dealer and it was diagnosed with an internal failure of brake control unit code pfe2b oo. I had the unit replaced.
