After starting up the motorcycle after refueling it at the end of a 70 mile drive the DCT, dual clutch transmission, refused to engage. The motorcycle refused to go in gear when the transmission rocker switch was pushed to engage the transmission. I then waited approximately 15 minutes thinking it might be good to let the transmission cool down after the previous long drive, and then I started the motorcycle, and after numerous attempts with the transmission rocker switch finally, the transmission went into gear. They placed the horn button above the turn signal switch. This is completely opposite of what is standard across multiple brands and countless millions of street bikes such as the 2012 Yamaha which I also own. The horn button is in an awkward location and counterintuitive. One must completely relax their grip and reach up with their thumb to "find" the switch. In such a situation where reaction time is vital, like warning a car about to … | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2018 | 2 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
